This weekend, the Longevity
Summit convened in Manhattan Beach, California. A group of
researchers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries met for three days
with the goal of developing a scientific and business strategy to
make extreme human life extension a real possibility within a
couple of decades. As inventor and futurist Ray Kurzweil told the
conferees: “Something I am personally interested in is not just
designer babies, but designer baby boomers.” Reason
Science Correspondent (and baby boomer) Ronald Bailey reports
from the summit.
