On August 12, Reason's Nick Gillespie talked with Judge Andrew Napolitano, the host of the Fox News Channel's web show Freedom Watch. Among the topics covered: the end of left-wing anti-war demonstrations, the pushback against federalism when it comes to medical marijuana dispensaries in California and elsewhere, and the need to squeeze politics down to the smallest size in everyday life. And how the hell do you actually make change when stuck with Republicans and Democrats in charge?
Freedom Watch is now a daily show! Go here for details and scheduling/archive information.
Gillespie's appearance is approximately nine minutes long. For embed code, downloadable versions, and more videos, go here.

I don't even need to watch it to know the Judge is right on. Too bad we couldn't get that guy elected.
Too bad we couldn't get that guy elected
I wouldn't vote for anyone who'd want the job.
Napolitano is so great, because he gets to host shows and invite reasonoids onto Fox News, then he actually lets them talk and make their points without interrupting them every two seconds to spout some obnoxious bullshit like Hannity or O'Reilly.
I'm thinking of getting me a trademark piece of clothing like Nick has. Maybe a sombrero or an over-sized bow tie.
For the record, the handful of goofers (I say affectionately and admiringly)in my little town who were in the town square protesting the wars when they were Bush's wars are still out there with their signs on the weekends and often on week days. But, honestly, Democrats never made up any substantial percent of the protestors around here. It has always been tea party/libertarian type for the most part. Some of these people are little goofy, but I love them all the more for it. They are always going to stand up for their principles no matter who occupies the Oval Office.

One of the (many) reasons I cannot stand television news of any
kind is that the fucking hosts act like they snort some kind of
meth/crack combo during commercials. They simply cannot let someone
talk without interrupting every five syllables. Hell, they can't
even ask a decent question; mostly, their "questions" are talking
points they want the guest to agree with.
That video still is priceless. Looks like the judge is interrogating the purse-snatcher.
Nick and the jacket give off the "cool teacher" vibe. It always
reminds me of the old Kids In The Hall sketch:

Balloon Maker,
I recommend a sarape, à la The Man With No Name. Or maybe
you'd prefer the Lee Van Cleef
look?
I once interviewed a Sein Fein leader who really pulled off the
leather-jacket-and-tie look. I went right out and bought myself a
similar jacket.
I can never wear it now amongst libertarians now, though, because
folks will think I'm aping Gillespie.
