On July 20, 1969, astronaut Neil Armstrong first
set foot on the surface of the moon. By 1972, just 12 men had
landed on the moon and none have gone since. Does this represent a
failure of imagination? Perhaps a failure of will? Science
Correspondent Ronald Bailey argues that there is a deeper and more
important reason why man has not returned to the moon: no
profits.
