Katherine Mangu-Ward | July 6, 2009
Last week, Gov. Deval
Patrick of Massachusetts signed a bill into law allowing the
Commonwealth to charge of $25 fee for each traffic hearing. This
means that if you challenge a ticket and win, you still owe The Man
the price of two large bacon cheeseburger pizzas from Domino's.
Associate Editor Katherine Mangu-Ward writes about her own
misadventures challenging a jaywalking ticket and defends the
notion of charging for traffic hearings.
