Last week the federal 7th Circuit Court of Appeals held that the Second Amendment offers zero protection against the draconian gun control laws currently in place in Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois. But as Associate Editor Damon W. Root writes, the 7th Circuit got it wrong. Gun rights deserve the same respect as the rest of the Bill of Rights. The Supreme Court should take this opportunity to fully restore the Second Amendment to its rightful place in our constitutional system.
