Saturday I'll be guest-hosting The Down Home Show on WCBN-FM from 12 to 3 p.m., eastern time. If you like country music of the old and alt varieties, tune in.

On Saturday mornings I like to tune in to WAIF Cincinnati for
the Cuttin' the Grass Bluegrass show. (Although it's not what it
used to be.)
At your time-slot, WAIF shall have moved on to gay-lesbian
programming, which is also good.
Keep in mind Ann Arbor is a loong way from "down home." The Queen
City is just across the river. I was born and raised in Music City,
TN.
DARK AS A DUNGEON. I wouldn't mind hearing several
versions.
Trouble is, I'm not sure I can sit through the whole program...
C&W ain't my strong suit. Most C&W is like most rock and
roll: People who can't sing singing about things not worth singing
about.
Hank-Lost Highway
Or play some Hank covers by the Norwegian band Hank's a lot:

Vern Gosdin passed away a couple of days ago, but I don't know any
of his stuff to recommend.
Other request:
Hank III - Low Down
Wayne Hancock - Gonna be flyin tonight, This lonely night, Miller,
Jack and Mad Dog
Old Crow Medicine Show - Methamphetamine
Bill Monroe - Blue Moon of Kentucky
Roy Acuff - Night train to Memphis
Thanks, everyone. I'll play at least some of those songs.
Tyler: I've been planning to play a duet Vern Gosdin did with Tammy
Wynette, though I don't own any of his records myself so I'm
counting on a fellow DJ's assurance that we have a copy at the
station.
