Last week, Arizona State University
held a Workshop on Transhumanism and the Future of Democracy.
Tranhumanism envisions the use of biotechnology, nanotechnology,
and cognitive technology to radically enhance human health,
intelligence, and emotional states. The workshop gathered a number
of legal scholars and bioethicists to consider how transhumanism
challenges our current legal, social, and political frameworks.
Science Correspondent Ronald Bailey participated by arguing for the
toleration of transhumanist aspirations.
