Last week, Democratic leaders in
Congress introduced cap-and-trade climate legislation that aims to
limit greenhouse gases and raise the price of energy. In the 2010
budget resolution, Congress also made sure that any proposed
climate change bill will go through the legislative sausage
grinder, giving lobbyists plenty of opportunities to game the
system for the benefit of their clients. In his latest column,
Science Correspondent Ronald Bailey takes aim at "the largest
corporate welfare program that has ever been enacted in the history
of the United States."
