Please join Reason Magazine’s D.C.-based
staff for a night of drinking and discussion at Local 16 on Thursday, April 2nd,
starting at 6:30 p.m.
While we enjoy the advent of Spring on Local 16’s “Best of DC” rooftop deck, we’ll be celebrating:
*The release of the May issue of Reason Magazine, featuring cover boy Arnold Schwarzenegger on a story about “Failed States.”
*Reason’s four nominations in the Western Publications Association’s “Maggie Awards,” for Best Magazine, Best News Article, Best Single Editorial Illustration, and Best Web Article.
*Reason Happy Hours being voted First and Second-Best Media Happy Hour by Washington City Paper.
Local 16 is located at 1602 U St. NW, near the corner of New
Hampshire Ave., within walking distance of the U
Street-Cardozo Metro Station. The festivities begin at 6:30
p.m. and will take place in the upstairs bar. Drink and food
specials will be available throughout the night, and the heated
rooftop deck will be open for smokers. Free copies of the May
issue, and other Reason swag, will be available as
well.
If you have any questions or would like to be added to our Evite list for D.C.-based events, please send an email to events@reason.com.
See you on the 2nd!

Fellow Californians: Stock up with foodstuffs, water, candles,
gold, silver, powder and musket balls. We have a failed state in
our hands!
What the shit?! I'm sick and tired of this. I know you guys are
based out of D.C., but can we get a little New York City love? Just
once, one day. That's all I ask.
I'm willing to buy people drinks... and to beg...
Hey, if you postpone it a night, i might be able to drop by. I'll be the guy with the beard and glasses.
Solana, I'd be willing to chip in for booze, if we can get a NYC version. If we can get Kerry Howley to attend, I'll pitch in half.
Right. Come on, Reason! A NYC event would be great! You know you want to... just collapse into the temptation.
As if we need more examples of gov't incompetence, Cracked.com has an article of five examples of total incompetence on 911 calls
Its for "Reason's magazine's summer BBQ tour! Visiting thirty
major cities and events in 2009"
Sorry, spending other people's money suddenly seems so right.
So will everybody else.
Well, what if i have a Guy Fawkes mask and a dog-eared copy of
Atlas Shrugged? Maybe i should point out to all and sundry
that i work in IT?

Good party. I was a bit worried about the change of venue (I really like the cave man theme of big hunt), but I was pleased that the party melded into the normal scene of the bar as the night progressed.
Thank G_d that Diva Village is back as an advertiser!
I so hate to post this and lose the ad.
