President Obama convenes his health
care reform summit this week. Science Correspondent Ron Bailey
advises the summiteers to look closely at University of Chicago
economist John Cochrane's ideas for health-status insurance.
"Health-status insurance can simultaneously give us complete and
portable long-term insurance, great individual choice, and
cost-containment beyond the dreams of any health policy planner,"
Cochrane convincingly claims.
