Reason.tv's Michael C. Moynihan and Nick Gillespie recently sat down with Julie Stewart, founder and head of Families Against Mandatory Minimums, and Mark Hemingway, a staff reporter at National Review Online.
In a wide-ranging and freewheeling discussion, Stewart and Hemingway discussed the rise of mandatory drug sentencing laws, right-wingers and marijuana use, conservatives vs. libertarians, just how bad President Barack Obama might turn out to be, and much, much more.
Approximately 20 minutes. Shot by Dan Hayes and edited by Roger Richards.

Perhaps its time to consider the wisdom of our ancestors on how
to handle "illegal combatants."
As alleged combatants, they are outside of our criminal court
system. Their status as an illegal combatant will be determined by
court martial under the UCMJ, which SCOTUS has indicated satisfies
due process.
The court martial will be a "speedy trial"; no fiddle-faddling
around for years while they are in detention.
Any appeals will be via the UCMJ.
Anyone found to be an illegal combatant will be executed or
returned to the custody of their home government, if that
government is (a) deemed to be reliable by the US (that is, not
prone to releasing these people back into the wild and (b) willing
to take them back.
Execution and/or "rendition" may be stayed so long as the prisoner
cooperates with our inquiries.
I really appreciate the laid-back mood of these shows, especially after watching the usual "everybody panic" crap on the MSM. Keep it up, Reason.
Was part 2 of Episode 9 ever uploaded?
Here's part one:

It clearly states the video is "the first of two parts."
