Obama said the nation's economic troubles had occurred because
"everyone was living beyond their means," including politicians who
"spent money they didn't have." Last month he regretted "our
collective failure to make hard choices" and heralded "a new era of
responsibility." But now, Senior Editor Jacob Sullum writes,
President Obama is pushing a $1 trillion "stimulus" package that
cannot possibly work as advertised.
