I think as long as you guys can have shows and websites like this, we will be ok. But when you are shut down and outlawed, thats when I will really start to worry.

I'm not a big fan of Nick's constant interruptions, need for oneupsmanship, non sequitur pop culture references, smug attitude or running commentary. Actually, I'm not a fan of Nick at all. How the f%$k did he become editor of Reason? Bring back Postrel!

You guys both need to stop posing as other commenters just to snipe at each other! I'm sure you'd both fare quite well in a Mr. Universe competition. There's room for both the quiet intellectual look and the tuff-guy greaser look in the free market.

i lost a significant amount of respect for Nick when he said he wasn't sure if ron paul was a libertarian. Ron Paul is a tried and true libertarian, and far more minarchist than friedman or others nick would consider to be libertarian. he was pro-immigration but rejected welfare state subsidation of immigration. and trying to say that "free trade" agreements are actually free trade is boneheaded. the only people who have the cred to call ron paul not a libertarian are anarchists like rothbard, but even rothbard loved paul.
