Is that Drew Carey on the cover?

EJM|11.28.08 @ 5:18PM|

Is that Drew Carey on the cover?

I was hoping that it was '50s/'60s-era Bill Cullen (who, coincidentally, was the first TPIR host).

Mister DNA|11.28.08 @ 5:34PM|

EJM, it's weird... I'm getting that Reason cover, along with the Drew Carey Project ad just to the right, and it's like one of the "Separated at Birth?" things from Spy magazine.

Wow, 40 years of Beltway parties. Which were Reason's favorites?

The author of this (also mentioned here and also involved with a UK doc about this) was trying to get OliverStone to make a movie called 1968 about the happenings in that year. I'm sure Reason would be mentioned, should that movie ever get made. And, I'm sure that Reason will carry on "fightin' the power" in a manner that would make Boehm proud.

Ok, revoke my Libertarian Card, but who *is* that guy on the cover?

Orange Line Special|11.28.08 @ 9:41PM|

The guy on the cover is one of these. I'm just joking!

Jesse Walker|11.28.08 @ 10:07PM|

The man on the cover is indeed Drew Carey. The print edition of the issue came with a DVD containing some of his reason.tv documentaries.

SIV|11.28.08 @ 10:29PM|

OT but 2nd Amendment related:

South Carolina had a gun sales tax holiday today!
Unfortunately it didn't apply to ammo.
Interestingly it was passed over a veto by their libertarian-leaning governor.
I haven't paid any sales tax on my last 3 firearm purchases(private sales--while they last) but if they had it in GA I'd take advantage of it to support my local merchants(price-gougers on AR stripped lowers that they are) and to get another shootin' iron.

Since nothing else is happening and Pvt. Weigel has abandoned his post, I'll point out that I'm giving away - believe it or not - $1,000,000 ZWD if you can guess the celeb in that picture without clicking the link in that post.

SIV|11.29.08 @ 8:25AM|

lonewacko,

congrats on your instapundit-link.

SIV|11.29.08 @ 10:26AM|

lonewacko,

-1 for shitting all over Professor Reynold's link to your post. Expect to wait another five years at least.

Warty|11.29.08 @ 11:12AM|

SIV, he just wanted to punish Reynolds for not following his highly effective plan to defeat Barack HUSSEIN HUSSEIN HUSSEIN Obama. Can't you understand how reasonable that is?

|11.29.08 @ 12:29PM|

The guy on the cover is one of these. I'm just joking!

First he loves Natalie Merchant, and now Morrissey. Could you be any more of a douchebag, LoneSchmuck? Xenophobia and a penchant for whiny pussy singers. Bad fucking combo, dude.

|11.29.08 @ 7:54PM|

Lonewackjob,

I think the Beltway parties have only been going on for 20 years. I could be wrong though.

Orange Line Special|11.29.08 @ 10:29PM|

Thanks everyone for caring!

dhex|11.30.08 @ 10:44AM|

we love you wacko
