42 seconds I felt my sandwich I just ate wanting to make an encore performance. Someone will have to let me know how it ends.
There's a pretty good book about it, you know.
There is? Jonah Goldberg's publisher must be pissed.
I moved the scroll bar to the last 30 seconds or so, hoping
there would be a snarky or at least ironic end. There wasn't.
Does anyone know the number for Venice, California Child Protective
Services?
Wow! Nauseating.
Every bit as bad as that scene in Jesus Camp where the kids are all
instructed to stand with arms outstretched and worshipful at a life
size carbdoard Bush.
Child abuse and brainwashing on both sides.
I can't watch the video with volume, but it looks like someone
got a children's chorus to sing some campy song about Obama, with
lots of goofy hand gestures.
I hear there's also one for joe biden, but the song goes off on a
forty minute tangent.
I hear there's also one for joe biden, but the song goes off
on a forty minute tangent
There's a McCain one, too, but the arm gestures don't go above the
shoulder line.
From the youtube description in all its glory:
Sing for Change chronicles a recent Sunday afternoon, when 22 children, ages 5-12, gathered to sing original songs in the belief that their singing would lift up our communities for the coming election. Light, hope, courage and love shine through these nonvoting children who believe that their very best contribution to the Obama campaign is to sing.
Sing for Change was a confluence of hard work, good will, and shared vision. Inspired by ideas raised at a grassroots Obama fundraiser, a music teacher, Kathy Sawada, and the children composed and rehearsed the songs in less than two weeks. Several musicians heard of the effort and volunteered to accompany the children. Parents and older siblings designed and provided the T-Shirts and the banner. There's a first for everything, but rarely do so many firsts come together at once: for the children and their parents, this is their first performance, first video, first banner, and first involvement with grassroots work on a presidential campaign.
As Sunday approached, a neighbor volunteered a home. Production wizards got wind of the project and offered their help in recording it. The likes of Jeff Zucker, Holly Schiffer, Peter Rosenfeld, Darin Moran, Jean Martin, Andy Blumenthal, and Nick Phoenix rearranged schedules to participate. Holly Schiffer was able to get three High Definition cameras (Panasonic HVX250's), and an AVID editing facility. When Jeff Zucker went to pick up the camera package, Ted Schilowitz happened to be there and offered a RED camera set up on a Steadi Cam.
What we accomplished in a few hours on a Sunday afternoon embodies the nature of the Obama campaign: its grassroots inspiration, its inclusiveness, its community building. People pitched in quickly for a cause that resonated with them. There were not many conditions: "Think this is a good idea? Want to help? Great. Sunday at 12:00." At the heart of the project were 22 children and their music. The willingness of all involved to come together for them was a testament to our hope, unity, courage, joy and belief in the future represented by these children.
We are offering the video to everyone, the Obama campaign and all media with high hopes that we can all join together to Sing for Change.
I hear there's also one for joe biden, but the song goes off
on a forty minute tangent.
That one's performed by Iron Butterfly.
The Soviets say they put up the fiercest opposition in the Battle of Berlin.
There's a McCain one, too, but the arm gestures don't go
above the shoulder line.
There's a Palin one, but it's NSFW.
Did this take place in a school? Is such a show of state
sanctioned partisanship allowed? Were the children who support
McCain allowed a few stanzas of rebuttal?
As a result of watching this I've decided to vote... I like
hope!
It's sweet.
I look forward to the Reason Readership response video. I imagine
something like the Something Awful Goons chanting "Leave me alone,
I'm smarter than you" with a rhythm section made up of Whoopie
cushions.
I look forward to the Reason Readership response
video
It'll be a YTMND mashup featuring Ron Paul gold bug speech
clips.
"Sing for Change chronicles a recent Sunday afternoon, when 22

C'mon folks! You gotta sing LOUD if you're gonna stop war and
stuff!!
Apologies to Mr. Guthrie.
Pro Lib,
In the Garden of Bi-i-i-den
Don't you know that I lo-o-o-ove you.
Seriously, you're gorgeous. Just really fanstastic. Stunning.
Especially up top.
Not that there's anything wrong down there, either.
Stand up, and let everyone get a look.
If this doesn't pull the election out of the fire for McCain, nothing will.
You guys are all such cynics.
I, for one, am inspired by those gradeschoolers who got out of bed
one morning and said to themselves, "you know what, I support
Barack Obama's farm policy'" and converged of their own accord on a
sunny saturday morning to spontaneously come up with this song
before phoning their teacher, but only because she had a camera to
film it for posterity.
Is that really ASL ('cause then it would be Sign for Change) or just wild gesticulation?
It's sweet.
So is Antifreeze, but it doesn't seem like a good idea to consume
either one.
I can't stream video on this computer.
Most of the independently-produced Obama songs I've seen have been
appallingly saccharine, though, so I'm just going to assume this
one is, too.
Do animated flying ponies gallavant around the children?
joe knows where the low-hanging political fruit is. (Just like with foreign interventions.)
Most of the independently-produced Obama songs I've seen
have been appallingly saccharine
I had nothing to do with this. Leave me out of it.
Joe-
It's bad enough to make Jonah Goldberg look almost halfway credible
with the thesis of his book. Almost.
It's certainly a far cry from "Drop It Like It's Hot", which O likes to play around his pre-school aged children.
It was completely necessary to blast the new Amon Amarth album for a good 10 minutes to clear my brain out after watching this.
Calling it Fahne hoch is a bit much, but the video is kind of eerie. It reminds me of children of the corn. Like they say, the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.

It's legal because they work for free. If the organizers paid each
kid $1, they could face a bunch of charges for violating child
labor laws.
My God, BDB - this video completely undermines whatever tattered credibility Jonah's book had. No decent fascist organization would ever put up with saccharine crap like that - fascism is about strength, will and unity. The very idea of "Hope" is anathema to fascists because it implies a weakness of will, i.e. "Oooh, I hope the Poles will give us some extra Lebensraum!" I'd be surprised if the word Hoffnung appears more than a couple times in Mein Kampf. No, this video is just garden-variety socialistic pap.
thanks for that. it was the final decision maker on whether or not to unsubscribe to your rss feeds. So much for reason, its just another shrill org. goodbye and good luck
It's a disturbing video in which children dressed in uniform
blue Obama Hope t-shirts sing a saccarine Obama-worshipping
quasi-patriotic turn.
Vaguely reminiscent of the Hitler youth singing patriotic
fatherland tunes in Nazi Germany, only with a more squishy liberal
flavor.
Funny, brad, I was just thinking this thread made up for the last week of H&R tedium. Keep this up, reason, and I'll actually subscribe some day (with money!).
Oh no! We lost brad! The humanity!
The Internet is such a cold, heartless place.
Liberal fascism.
I don't see it. The children weren't forced to participate, and
even if they were it was their parents' decision, not the State's.
There is no indication that there is a desire on the organizers'
part to make all children do this if Obama is elected. If this is
fascism then so is taking your kids to church--but at least these
kids, unlike churchgoers, are singing about someone who actually
exists.
So long, brad, and thanks for playing! What does he get as a parting gift, Johnnie?
"Die Obama Fahne hoch!"
Die Obama!? Now you've gone too far with your threats of
violence!
It was bad, but not that...
Actually, is was pretty bad.
for the children and their parents, this is their first
performance, first video, first banner, and first involvement with
grassroots work on a presidential campaign.
I can tell.
[Olympics flashback]
The worst part is that the original singers were all replaced by
much cuter kids.
[/Olympics flashback]
The children weren't forced to participate, and even if they
were it was their parents' decision, not the State's.
What you don't know is that a Chicago city alderman is standing
just off camera with a flamethrower.
At least, I think so, because what else would inspire 20 families
to think this was a good a idea?
Orange Line Special gives us a link that, while not very funny,
doesn't completely and totally suck!
So long, Orange Line Special, and thanks for playing. What does he
get as a parting gift, Johnnie?
I'm so inspired by this worshipful song that I'm giving up my faith to join the Church of the Messiah Obama.
This looks strikingly like little North Korean children singing to the "dear leader" or worse like the kids in Jim Jones' cult a few years back.
Question for the copyright lawyers out there:
Can the McCain camp use that video? Just running it in its entirety
unedited would make for a devastating campaign ad. But would the
makers be able to sue? Do you retain rights to something you upload
to Youtube?
DAMMIT KIDS! YOUR'E NOT HAPPY ENOUGH!!! SMILE!!! MORE HOPEFUL!! ONE MORE TAKE AND IF YOU SCREW IT UP ANOTHER TIME...
Surprised it didn't end with a "Sieg Heil" Are they now staying true to form and send the children to spend a year on the farms to supply some free labor. If you want to stick with this format, the "Obamajugend" better get it right.
What you don't know is that a Chicago city alderman is
standing just off camera with a flamethrower.
At least, I think so, because what else would inspire 20 families

You make a good point.
I think they must have left out the lyrics about
Oh, when Hope and Change
Reign Supreme
All those bitter old bastards
who cling to guns and Jesus
Will only be a bad dream!!
Um, they totally ripped that off from the Happy Hands Club in Napoleon Dynamite, yo.
Craziness on the other side:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CgvgjfwyPs
Yikes!
Do you retain rights to something you upload to
Youtube?
I do not think you waive your rights to anything you upload to
youtube. But, using it for fair use might work.
This looks strikingly like little North Korean children
singing to the "dear leader"
See my previous link.
FatDrunkAndStupid: I'm not a (c) lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that
anything on Youtube is fair game. In fact, once you upload
something there, the original (c) lose all ownership rights and it
becomes the property of the worldwide sharing/caring P2P
community.
Now, bear in mind I might be wrong.
O holy Child of Chicago!
Descend to us, we pray;
We'll suck your toes and kill all those
Who stand in your way.
Man, we haven't had a good "Obama worship is fascist" thread since a bunch of people got suckered by the "Obama salute" from the goetse people.
I assume that Andrew Sullivan will immediately post a condemnation of the Christianist, ah, Obamanist video. (NOT!)
Wasn't Obama the guy speaking at the beginning of "The Cult of Personality"? ☺

Having just moved from Chicago to Park Slope, I can tell you the
kids' parents really believe all this.
I notice people trying to compare this to Jesus Camp in the comments of many of the blogs about this, but the comparison doesn't wash. The main reason is that, in Jesus Camp, the children are praying for Bush, not to Bush.
it was the final decision maker on whether or not to
unsubscribe to your rss feeds.
Does this call for a drink?
Try as they might, they just can't match the original.
Triumph of the
Will
It's not a bad attempt, though.
Kensington, the people making that comparison often know that
but try to make it sound otherwise. Look how carefully ktc2 chose
his words to make it sound like they were worshipping Bush without
actually saying that. He knows the truth, but prefers to
deceive.
I'm an infrequent visitor, but I am going to guest that ktc2 is a
young liberal who makes lame jokes.
Don't worry, this wasn't as scary as when they were giving away bronze busts in the pages of National Review in 2003.
"The main reason is that, in Jesus Camp, the children are
praying for Bush, not to Bush."
I guess you weren't watching the same movie I was.
Last night at karaoke, to the tune of Hosanna from Jesus Christ
Superstar:
O-sama, Hey-sama, sama, sama, ho-sama, hey-sama, O-sama,
, Hey O-B O-B won't you smile at me, sama, hey-sama, ho,
superstar!
what in the h@ll is this society coming to? no wonder this country is being flushed down the toilet! you shouldn't even publish crap like this...it makes them more infamous!

Praying for, not to.
Hmmmm.... reminds me of videos of children singing the praises of the Dear Leader.
Obama hoch! Die Reihenfest gesschlossen!
Obamarschiert mit mutigfestem Schritt
Komraden die Schweinen und Reaktion erschossen
Marschieren im Geist, in unseren Reihen mit.
DCFS needs to get involved here. I bet every one of the sick
fuck parents involved has their car radio presets set to the low
end of the FM "dial".
I'm not sure exactly how these kids can be saved, but I'd start
with buying them squirt guns. Not "squirters", but squirt guns.
i was thing more along the lines of "The East is Red" or something in a Stalinist line.....
Where is a McCain 527 when we need one. Take the first 30-45 seconds of this thing and then fade it into a video of one of the children singing for Kim Jung Il or one of the old Soviet Young Pioneeer camps or the Hilter Jungend. Run it all over Ohio and Pennsylvania.
In front of a cardboard-cut out of him like he's some kind of
Catholic Saint, Kensington?
Yeah, that's not creepy at all.
Just admit there was a lot of creepy Bush worship on the right from
9/11 until around 2005.
John Steele-
It's generally NOT a good idea to bring Hitler into political ads.
Ask Jerry Kilgore.
The funny thing is that the Kids for McCain beat up these kids after they finished singing.
The parents at at the end of the video scare me the most. Howie
Carr's "How to Tell if You're a Moonbat" is so apropos...
For those who came in late, moonbats are trust-funded, medicated,
middle-aged, white-guilt-ridden blogging lefty losers who inflicted
Deval Patrick upon the working people [of Massachusetts]. The
moonbats now yearn to elect Sen. Barack Obama, a Deval on
steroids.
If you are a guy with a ponytail, chances are you're a moonbat - if
you have a wide-brim leather hat too, the odds rise to 100 percent.
If you're a woman and you bring knitting to public meetings,
consider yourself positively ID'ed.
Like most people, I know 'em when I see 'em. But if you are
wondering whether or not you are a moonbat, here are some of the
most obvious traits:
You refer to the current national administration as the
"Cheney-Bush regime."
You've used the word "Halliburton" at least once in the last 10
minutes.
The biggest issue in the state: gay marriage.
The second biggest issue in the state: the pressing need for more
bicycle paths.
You take part in the weekly anti-war protests on the town post
office with all the other grandmothers, or should I say the women
who would be grandmothers if they hadn't had so many abortions 30
years ago.
You're the only one on your block who still has the Globe
delivered.
You believed the National Enquirer totally when they busted Rush
Limbaugh.
You don't believe a word of the National Enquirer now that it's
busting John Edwards.
Your car contains at least three of the following bumper stickers:
"Redefeat Bush," "1-20-09," "We ARE a Family and We Vote,"
"Kerry-Edwards," "Free Mumia," "9/11 Was an Inside Job" and "Got
Hope?"
You still miss your favorite old bumper stickers: "Free Leonard
Pelletier," "War Is Not Healthy for Children and Other Living
Things" and "Re-elect Marzilli."
You scoff at people who believe in God, but just as fervently
believe that there is a "scientific consensus" about global
warming.
You'd never admit that the reason you don't care about Obama's
plans to tax the middle class back to the Stone Age is because your
dad down in New York put all your trust funds into tax-free
municipal bonds.
You still watch Channel 2 and listen to NPR.
You think someone should nominate Arline Isaacson for a Nobel
Prize.
You have both of Barack Obama's books, and you've been meaning to
get around to reading them, but . . .
You haven't uttered the word "Christmas" since 1983, lest you
offend someone.
Forget vegetarian, you'd like to be a vegan . . . except for that
no-ice-cream thing.
I'll only worry if Obama starts blaming the Scots for all our woes. Beginning with that McCain fellow.
"In front of a cardboard-cut out of him like he's some kind of
Catholic Saint, Kensington?"
As a Catholic, I can attest that I've never had a saint presented
to me the way that the Bush cutout is used in Jesus Camp.
Plus, Catholics do pray to saints, unlike what the
children in Jesus camp are doing with regard to the Bush
cutout.
Shorthand:
Pray to saint (or, in this case, Obama).
Pray for Bush.
"Just admit there was a lot of creepy Bush worship on the right
from 9/11 until around 2005."
No, you're wrong. I don't think you really understand worship. I
worship God, not politicians and never once thought gathering
children to sing songs of praise for Bush would be a good idea.
Frankly, it would have been inconceivable, and it should have been
inconceivable to the Obamabots, too.
You're right, Kensington. The coming of Libruh Fascism.
Get ready to be put on a cattle car when B. Hussein Obama comes to
power!
Seriously, you're about as dumb as the same liberals you mock
who think Bush=Hitler and that Halliburton runs the Iraq War.
God, I hate partisans.
Its it this so cute and so 60s. I just feel warm all over. When Hopeless and Clueless get elected the sun will always shine and love will rule. But then we might all be living in boxes down by the river and eating dog food.
The funny thing is that the Kids for McCain beat up these
kids after they finished singing.
To be fair, the Kids for McCain ranged in age from 17-50.
There you go. Let it all out. This must be a rough time you're
going through.
I feel your pain, wingnuts. I feel your pain.
You're going to get through the Obama administration. You're going
to be ok, and when you come out the other side in 8 years, you're
going to be stronger for the experience.
I'm still highly doubtful that Obama will win, for all sorts of good, bad, and ugly reasons. However, if he does, he has one term tattooed on his forehead. Even if I were a soldier in the Democratic Army, I'd hedge a bit on the post-election Obama love.
Seem to be more like the FDJ ("Free German Youth", the state youth movement of the Communist GDR) than the Hitlerjugend. The FDJ also weared blue shirts.
I saw a video of election night 1992 the other day.
All the CBS pundits were convinced Clinton would be a "one term
President" because the problems that needed solving were "too
great" and the economy would be bad "at least through 1997".
"Did someone link us to LGF or Free Republic?"
Are you kidding? We're in the middle of a Kossite invasion right
now.
"I hear there's also one for joe biden, but the song goes off on
a forty minute tangent."
Now THATS funny!
This is reminiscentof the singforthe motherland lyrics of former Communist block countries, albeit with a swing beat.
edh,
That list is pretty good! Is there a similar symptom list for the
moonbats on the right?
Joe,
Do you really think Obama will be an 8 yr president?
Sagar,
I think it's more likely than not that he will be.
I think the Bush years are going to loom large for a lone
time.
Mister we could use a fella like Herbert Hoover again.
The truly frightening aspect of this video is that each and every one of those singers is going to vote in Chicago come November.
hmmmm...so instead of wearing the brown shirts of Hitlers youth
movement I recommend they dress the kiddes up in "brown face"
just sayin
Wow. Look at all the wingnuts get the vapors! Really? Now so many of you want to talk about fascism? You see a cheesy Obama video and that does it? What a country of ten-year-old drama queens we've become.
Just a taste of things to come. Can't wait for the inspiring videos of thousands of happy American braceros, in matching baby-blue Obama T-shirts, toiling in the fields for our fearless leader, cutting cornstalks for ethanol, while singing this crappy song. Hey it's worked in Cuba for 50 years!
We saw kids like this in Cuba with their Young Pioneer kerchiefs on. A sign of the future here if the Dictator gets elected?
This looks strikingly like little North Korean children
singing to the "dear leader."
Geez, I was going to say the same exact thing.
Seriously, it's stuff like this that makes me secretly wish McCain
wins. The Left decided to be uber-obnoxious this year. The
collective moan of wounded naivete coming from the media, from the
Obama worshippers and from the "Global Electoral
College" will be thoroughly entertaining, and I plan to savor
every minute of it.
Wait - does that make me a sadist?
What bugs me is the
"*Gonna* lead *um*."
Why can't the kid sing
"GOING to lead THEM"
I wonder of any the $150 million spent as part of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge eventually paid for the creation of this video. After all [from http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/23/the-obama-ayers-connection-chicago-annenberg-challenge/], "CAC also funded programs designed to promote 'leadership' among parents. Ostensibly this was to enable parents to advocate on behalf of their children's education."
"Seriously, you're about as dumb as the same liberals you
mock who think Bush=Hitler and that Halliburton runs the Iraq
War."
Why didn't you just say that you were an asshole right away? I
wouldn't have bothered responding to you.
I hate assholes.
Why can't the kid sing
"GOING to lead THEM"
Because Steve Miller* is the only one who could get away with
rhyming "lead them" with "freedom"
*"Billy Mack is a detective down in Texas
You know he knows just exactly what the facts is
He ain't gonna let those two escape justice
He makes his livin' off of the people's taxes"
Today my coworker from Holland said "why do americans get all
crazy and scared when the subject of Socialism comes up?"
he also thinks we should cap everyone's salary so people don't make
too much money.
Yeah man Europeans suck lol! Socialists!
Thank God we are preventing Eurabia!
Like I said, Boston, someone linked us to Free Republic.
There is nothing like the ability right wingers have to get a
consistent message of the day, stay on it, and spam all the blogs
that mention it.
It's something liberals rarely do, and something we libertarians
are totally incapable of (it requires a swarm mentality and
whatnot).
BDB,
I think liberals are just as bad in that regard, going by what I've
seen here. When Hit & Run goes extra viral, we get swarmed by
partisans of either stripe. Just depends on the issue du
jour. If there are a few more of the Rightbots hereabouts,
which I'm not sure there are, I think it may be that the right
tends to view us more as straying lambs than the left does.
I don't know about that, BDB, the RP people seemed to have that going for them.
I've talked to a fair number of people who plan to vote for Obama, and these are typical, if a little lacking in zeal.
Oh, I've seen the libs do it too. Just not nearly as often. But
when they do it, yeah, it's bad.
"the RP people seemed to have that going for them."
Damn Paleos.
Plus the video is the first "good" (I guess) news right wingers have had in a long time. They're extra-excited.
All these brats probrably want free healthcare. WELL FUCK THEM!
These people are bots right? Like the ultimate anonimity guy?
If you're talking about those of us (me) who post as "Anonymous,"
no. But we are amused, in the sense that I hope this doesn't go
beyond this thread and I hope joe's brain explodes.
Moynihan's pre-Godwinning of the thread predisposed me to think
the video is no big deal. While it's offensive, it's not National
Socialist propaganda. Once someone goes Godwin on me against one of
the two major parties, I tend to focus of defending that party
against the charge - one of the few occasions on which I defend the
Demopubs.
Thus, when an official from some outfit like Former Intelligence
Officers Against the War denounced the Iraq war, I would have been
sympathetic, but he laid on the Hitler analogies so think that I
got turned off. I thought, "I wonder if Hitler would have allowed
members of a group called Former Gestapo Officers Against the War
to go around the country and denounce the regime's war policy?" So,
instead of focusing on Bush's wickedness, I focused on the
speaker's exaggerations (to be fair, he was a former CIA officer,
and accuracy has not exactly been the CIA's strong suit).
Similarly, this creepy Obama video would normally inspire me with
revulsion against leftoid personality cults and remind me of
leftist tendencies to glorify "great leaders." But the Godwinning
made it hard for me to focus all my hate on Obama, because I
actually don't think Obama is like Hitler.
As a result, it has taken some time for me to muster up the
indignation to do the following take on "The East Is Red," in honor
of Senator Obama.
The east is red, the sun is rising.
America has brought forth a Barack Obama.
He amasses hope for the people,
Hurrah, he is the people's great savior.
Barack Obama loves the people,
He is our guide,
To build a new America,
Hurrah, he leads us forward!
Barack Obama is like the sun,
Wherever he shines, it is bright.
Wherever there is a Barack Obama,
Hurrah, there the people are liberated!

-- US Army Radio-Telephone Operator (RTO) jargon for you're not

Barack Die Barack...
It's German for "Barack the Barack".
(No one that speaks German can be all bad.)
I agree; it reminds me way too much of the things that Comrade Honecker made the children do in the DDR. (In addition to having children rat out what TV News their parents were watching the night before by having classroom assignments to 'Draw the clock you saw on the news lastnight'...the Western stations and Eastern ones were different.) I must point out, as a nit-picky grammarian and former German tutor, it is "singen" not "singt" (plural versus singular verb-form)
Obiously, you people need to give up your cynicism. Barack can help you with that.
Cripes, you people making "Triumph of the Will" Nazi metaphors
need to actually watch thirty seconds of the movie and stop
embarrassing yourselves.
Let me give you a head's up: ten kids in a rec room being directed
by Volvo Mom has nothing to do with Speer and Reifenstahl. Good
lord, what a bunch of freaking drama queens.
The thing to watch in this clip is the adults. They reminded me
of the members of the Board of an artists in residents program
501(c)3 I sat on, whose organization helped homeless youth. Nice
folks and all, but not a one of them read a newspaper. One board
member constantly bragged about not having a TV, because TV breeds
stupidity. I remember thinking that if one of her kids decided to
be a social critic like Camille Paglia, he or she wouldn't stand a
chance.
So, I would show up at Board meetings saying things like, "I just
saw the most amazing show on the Learning Channel about a tribe in
Indonesia that believes in decapitating chickens in order to render
major social decisions. And then they go homelike it's an everyday
thing"
The problem with those Board people (and the people in the clip) is
that their information is essentially inbred. Reading a paper is
foreign to them. Watching the news and comentary is foriegn to
them. It's all about feeding their emotions. Facts are a threat to
their sense of well being. The downside is that it really fucks up
their kids.
There is nothing like the ability right wingers have to get
a consistent message of the day, stay on it, and spam all the blogs
that mention it.
I attribute it to their desperate, panicked, flat-footed
sexism.
And wouldn't you know? It's on the front page of
foxnews.com.
A PhD is waiting out there for someone who wants to do an extensive
study in right wing message control/coordination across so many
forms of media. It's damn impressive.

RE: Cynicism, Anyone?
"Obiously, you people need to give up your cynicism. Barack can
help you with that." -- 'michelle obama'
It's people like you and your 'husband' that give it to US.
And now you want to take it back? When we're having so much fun-at
your expense-with it?
Talk about typical Dimocrat mentality.

so some people got a little carried away and too excited, and
not in anger and hatred but in some weird group euphoria that ill
never understand myself. i'm too cynical i guess. people do the
same thing all the time at sporting events, but i guess thats
cool.
despite the cultists, theres still no way in hell im voting for the
pathetic mccain and his idiot sidekick.
You know if you libertarians weren't such amazing giant flaming
assholes you might just have a chance of convincing people to
listen to your ideas.
Fortunately for civilized society you are apparently so bereft of
self-reflection that you don't realize that equating children
singing about change and freedom to a Nazi rally means you'll be
perceived exactly as you are: a bunch of mean spirited adolescent
douchebags.
But please carry on, as your sociopathic behavior allows me to
easily dismiss you as ranting nutters.
ZOMG!
ObamaNazis!!11!1
A new low for this malignant cancer on the American body-politic!
Children singing songs! How COULD they do this?! Obviously it's all
part of their diabolical brainwashing plot to conquer the world!
You know, I just bet the Jews are in on it too, somehow - aren't
they ALWAYS?!
Your title is SO brilliant - I know that whenever I see a group of
children sing, I IMMEDIATELY think of the Hitler Youth, too!
It really IS just exactly like SS Stormtroopers leading torchlight
rallies, or beating & humiliating Jewish merchants! You're SO
right!
What will these heinous fascistic BASTARDS come up with next -
perhaps nakedly manipulating the media by holding a free barbecue
for the press?!?
lol, the moonbats really come out of the woodwork for these
posts. YOU'RE ACTUALLY EQUATING LITTLE CHILDRENS TO NAZIS!!!
OMFG!!! YOU EVIL BASTARDS!!1!
Time for your meds, Jim(s). Everything will be ok.

Um, we ALREADY convinced people to listen to our ideas. We're the
ones who founded this fucking country, you dimwit.
YOU'RE the giant flaming assholes who didn't know how to handle
liberty and have spent the past century-plus flushing it down the
toilet.

To Bob: beside this comment, how many comments did you post
elsewhere on those two stories?

Not that I'm a Ron Paul groupie, or even a gold bug, but Ron Paul
is disarming -- and his behavior, such as invoking Spooner, helps
with that. He doesn't look anything like a cult figure, and he's
nowhere near being a viable candidate, so I give his zombies a
whole lot of slack for being silly on purpose.
I hope you can see the difference.

Irony, Ironical, Satire, I'm not sure what this is. Fortunately I
don't have to properly categorize it to laugh.
Well done Jim, you've really... wait, you were serious? Oh... HA,
that makes it funnier.
Good job again.
