"So, how weird is it to be, you know, Al-Jazeera at the Republican Convention?" I ask the nice A-J employee walking me to my interview.
"Oh, they're much better than the Democrats!" she says (quotes are approximate). "Republicans just come and tell you what's on their mind; they don't care what you think."
And Democrats? "They're afraid to talk to us." Don't want to offend anyone, and don't want to be caught out talking to Al-Jazeera.
So if you're watching at home, and can make out anything else besides the "COUNTRY FIRST" signs within the hall, check out the "ALJAZEERA CHANNEL" logo between MSNBC and Eyewitness News. And pray for your country, whichever one it may be.

Its a great TV station. They had some of the best non-Chinese live coverage of the Szechuan Earthquake.
