Contrary
to yesterday's rumors, MSNBC's Tucker Carlson will not
run for the Libertarian Party presidential nod. Not only that, he
was never thinking about it. And if elected, he wouldn't serve
(well, that's an extrapolation). Reports ABC's Jake Tapper:
Carlson tells me he was never running.
He's right now with his family in Maine rather than in Denver with the Marijuana Policy Project and the like.
"I probably should have done it," Tucker emails me." Imagine the bus trip."
Shoot.
Oh, well.
Carlson wrote the second-best on-the-trail-with-Ron-Paul story of the GOP primary season. Read it here. And then read the best one, by reason's Brian Doherty, here.

You've gotta be kidding me. Tucker? Have you guys seen him on Dancing with the Stars? After getting knocked out 1st he actually had the awe-inspiring hindsight to say that he really thought he was going to advance. This is serious, folks: Not only was he unable to realize that he should've never committed any of his cha-chas to celluloid, he also could not believe he was the clear turkey out of the bunch. Amazing. And there are actually a few human beings with sound craniums who really think this guy's fit for any public office, let alone the presidency? What's this world coming to?
NP,
If you've watched that tripe you have no right to complain about
anything.
[cheap shot]
So he's already proved that he has the unrealistic belief that he
could keep up with the big guys for a few rounds. I think that
makes him the perfect LP Presidential candidate.

Aw, c'mon ed! The show ain't that bad. Besides, that was the
only DWT episode that I really watched (seriously). I've never
cared much for any "reality" shows, actually.
And Jozef, yes that was a cheap shot. And yeah, you're still
right.
I liked Pogo's version of the Sherman statement: "If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve. If I serve, I won't enjoy it."
I must disagree. Tucker had the best Ron Paul story. Air Force Amy crying at the end was very emotional, I almost had to cry myself.
