The Upside of Seeing Financial Institutions Face a Crisis

It's as good an excuse as any to link to the long-lost ending of It's a Wonderful Life.

I wonder if that was the "killing spree" ending they alluded to on the Simpsons

It would have been even better if, after George Bailey beat Mr. Potter to death, he were found guilty of manslaughter and ended up in prison, his life destroyed. Oh well, you can't have everything.

BTW, I had forgotten the introduction by William "Master Thespian" Shatner. Priceless.

Wasn't Bailey a subprime lender?

Aww, BakedPenguin beat me to it.

There's the other Simpsons reference though:

Bank teller: "Well, I don't have your money, it's in Jim's house, and Frank's house, and Jerry's house--"

Moe Scizlak: "What are you doing with my money in your house Frank?!?!?!"

[punches Frank, riot ensues]
