A 55 minute video on Hillary Clinton? Even though it has my beloved Kerry, I will have to pass... sorry.
That is not a flattering screen-cap of either of them. It's looks like a headset death-match between MSN tech support and Ukrainian discount phone sex.
valentines day is the best day to go the bar and pick up single girls. Best holiday ever.
Remind me never to be filmed by a webcam. I don't think anyone, even me, can look good on one.
Kerry does not look like someone who works for
Microsoft!
Of course not. All the hot
chicks work for google. (SFW)

even me, can look good on one.
Uh. you didnt watch this video did you.
I mean... i think might potentially be evidence to the contrary
apparent in this particular clip.
(psst! pay attention to the RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN)
Kerry had better ritually scarify herself or something, if she ever wants to be taken seriously by the sex-deprived mass of idiots known as libertarians. Mmmmm...boobs.
Kerry-
I get your point about how most of the women who paved the way in
politics were from political families. The dynastic thing probably
wouldn't bother me as much if (1) she wasn't seeking to succeed
another dynasty and (2) she was related to/married to somebody
other than a recent President.
Having the White House go back and forth between 2 families for 20+
years seems dangerous. As your friend pointed out in the
discussion, Bangladesh is experiencing something similar. If Mary
Bono sought the Presidency, or a Kennedy niece, or somebody like
that, and if we had at least 4 years of separation from the Bush
dynasty, my view would be different.
Will 20 years of two family rule is something to be skeptical
of, the ultimate decision to pull the lever for somebody should be
made based on who the best person for the job is.
Bush II was the wrong guy for the job even though he had his
poppy's experienced team. People were willing to give Bush II extra
credit for having his father's people around. Clinton seems to get
penalized for the same thing. Is it because it worked out so
horribly for Bush II? Is this a valid argument against dynasties in
politics? Or is George II just flat out incompetent?

Kerry, I tried to make this serious. I tried.
Oh, thats weak. Thats the junior-high play, where one guy lets all
the dudes say chauvanistic things about hot chicks, then sneaks
over to them and goes, "those guys are so MEAN! I'm nice! I really
try to be sensitive and stuff. lets gossip!"
the jocks always end up getting the chicks anyway man. Its a bad
strategy overall.
i really think there's nothing wrong with going "bow-chicka-Wow,
wawwww!" every time Kerry appears. Why not? She's one of the few
admitted libertarians I'm not horribly embarrassed by when they
talk long enough. Nick also wins superbad points of course, and
radley is like...i dont know. Thor? The Thing? Captain America? I
vote him our new overlord, personally.
anyhoos.
Oh yeah, MY right. THIS way (points)! The whiteish looking one!

Ukrainian discount phone sex.
I get the first one, but the second would look more like a 65yr old
bag lady, chainsmoking, overly made up, with a babushka and
shit.
i'd buy, "open casting call to replace jack bauer's computer-geek
chick information-specialist who spends every scene in the
operations center looking concerned while fiddling with various
gadgets"
She's one of the few admitted libertarians I'm not horribly embarrassed by when they talk long enough.
Exactly. I actually wanted to talk about something that she said,
not just the fact that she has an attractive appearance.
Her picture is on her Reason profile for you to gawk at any time
you like. But her blog posts, unlike her picture, have new material
to discuss.
Is this a valid argument against dynasties in politics? Or
is George II just flat out incompetent?
It's both.
These arguments that Hillary will allow women to burst through some "glass ceiling" to me seem silly. It's not like Margaret Thatcher in England (our closest cultural neighbor) all of sudden made women all over England have to be taken seriously and allowed feminism to enter some utopian golden age.
Ok T dog. *soor-rrrreryyyy*
Their whole semi-debate early on about Natalism sorta distracted me
for a bit. It was like, public policy about babies and shit. They
both seemed excited about Sweden. I got bored. Then they talked
about paths to power for female politicians and dynasticism and
stuff. that was a new learning experience for me. Reihan is anti
valentines day. Seemed to me like there are worse things to decry.
There's a reason a lot of babies are born in winter. I mean, he
wants babies, but dont like commercial artificial cues for 'forced'
romance. Then i began to suspect that he was gay. Then i was
worried that i might be gay for thinking that. Then i started
paying attention to the right side of the screen and soon realized
i am not gay. The main thing i enjoyed was the immigration bit. But
I think they were mostly in agreement about the whole thing with
took some of the teeth out of the debate. There needed to be
someone there who was crazy nationalist and xenophobic to make it
more fun.

"glass ceiling" to me seem silly.
I agree. Hilaryism isnt exactly a forward step for feminism really.
it's a cheap convenient substitute. as a cultural move, i think it
doesnt have any real broad (pun?) ramifications compared to say,
the 'bama thing.
I was distracted by Reihans 'svengali' head motions throughout. hypnotizing.
But her blog posts, unlike her picture, have new material to
discuss.
Excellent point thoreau. I second your call for Kerry to post some
new pictures.
Kinda, sorta, maybe off topic. OK, really off
topic.
When was the last Monday without a Radley Balko post that ruined
everybody's day? I just noticed that.
Hilaryism isnt exactly a forward step for feminism
really.
The feminists have a lot to lose if Hillary gets the nomination.
She's the only candidate who could lose to McCain.
Even worse, if she became the first female president, there
wouldn't be another one for a very long time.

Summary: she continually promotes open borders, using only smears
and a first-level financial argument, without even acknowledging
the massive non-financial impacts of what she promotes.
The only good thing about her is that she's helping drag Reason
even further down.

Drink!
(But since it's LoneWacko, drink tequila. That'll show him!)
Sometimes I reflect on what a shitty poster I am, and it makes me feel bad. Then LoneWacko or Dondero will post something and make me feel all better. I'm smrt!
For every "stereotype" that seemingly goes against women
unfairly, there is a converse one that goes against men.
"Strong women aren't likeable".......but...
"nice guys finish last"
Quoting MYSELF (which i assume has seriously bad karmic
repercussions)

...i just realized... wouldnt that be cool? the LoneWacko vs.
Anyone head to head dialogue?
I mean,
LoneWacko vs. a partly functioning Speak&Spell
or
LoneWacko vs. My Weed Dealer
or
LoneWacko vs. a Lubavitcher Rebbe
or
LoneWacko vs. Morton Downey's Ghost, Leonard Jeffries (alive?), a
few Black Israelites and some Raelians thrown in for fun
... the possibilities are endless.
One thing interesting: Reihan like the idea of arming women,
idea being that fewer "non-women" would attack them. Kerry is
surprised and expresses a fear of girl gangs mis-using
guns...
hmmmmm...
Keep in mind that libertarians are, for the most part, geeky,
socially retarded, maladjusted men.
Kerry showing her face around here is like a hot chick walking into
the Android's Dungeon.

I know. I feel so odd around them. I tend to avoid them, or avoid
mentioning that i have any particular leanings if i suspect one is
in the room. I'm afraid that they'll latch onto me and start into
some rothbard rant while swilling 151 and eventually demanding
someone play some experimental rock album or something. Dont EVER
mention william S burroughs or philip k dick or the gold standard.
Then they'll never shut the fuck up.
Whats the point of doing a video if this is just two people having a conversation
:Leif | February 18, 2008, 11:23pm | #
you do have a point.
You should talk to the seinfeld producers and figure that one out
as well
my (NOW REGARDED AS SEXIST TRIPE) pat answer would be, 'the right
side of the frame', in this case
GILMORE:
try having a nice dialogue about Ayn Rand. that always works.
Exactly. I actually wanted to talk about something that she said, not just the fact that she has an attractive appearance.
Internet White Knight!
Kerry Howley is far better looking than Reihan Salam. Hands down.
Fyi if you guys have a bluetooth enabled computer you can use
one of those bluetooth cellphone earpieces and ditch the xbox live
headsets.
Also the IMVU girls suck, bring back my snorg tees princess!
Even worse, if she became the first female president, there
wouldn't be another one for a very long time.
Yeah. From then on women would have to face the "Good grief, we
don't want another Hillary" argument.
Fyi if you guys have a bluetooth enabled computer you can use

headsets.
Not so much. In a studio the earphones aren't so you can hear,
they're to keep distracting noises out.
I tried to come up with something witty and relevant.
I failed miserably...
HUBBA HUBBA!!!
if she became the first female president, there wouldn't be
another one for a very long time.
Hmm. Bug, or feature?
I keed, I keed!
A black man and a woman video conferencing over a global
communications network?!?!?
If not for the giant head sets I would believe we are living in the
future.
Also the IMVU girls suck
Really? That would be NSFW. The only ad I've seen just has them
standing there.
