What does The Wire's Sergeant Landsman, a.k.a. Delaney Williams, think about the most pressing issues of our time? Find out tonight at 3am EST on FNC's Red Eye! I'll be there as well.

And, the envelope says, "dumping ground for has-beens".
If Reason would like to be at least somewhat relevant to some
people somewhere, let me suggest a) get a bit more wonky, and b)
actually acknowledging the other side's arguments in an
intellectually honest fashion.
If you haven't yet, find the time to watch The Wire. Easily the best show on TV.
The wire is not only the best TV show ever, but maybe the greatest piece of "filmed entertainment" ever. Thats not hyperbole, but an honest assessment of TV and Movies.
"acknowledging the other side's arguments in an
intellectually honest fashion."
So what do the rest of you think about Lonewacko's tired and stupid
arguments?
Or for fuck's sake, does anyone have a lonewackjob filter? The endless self-obsessed, ego-maniacal, bitching about what reason should be covering, comical at first, is now wearing thin. Get the hell over yourself. If you think people here are more interested in anything you think than what reason is covering, and therefore it needs your help, you're more delusional than even your rantings would suggest (no mean feat). If reason isn't relevant enough or tolerant enough of other views for you, then do yourself, and much more importantly all the rest of us, a favor by finding a site to pollute that is more to your liking. Perhaps a "dumping ground for never-was's".
I watched DVDs one and 2 of season 1. Iliked the in-depth characterization, but didn't see an interesting plot-line developing. Should I have continued further?
jj: you should. it's a slow burn, and each season is like a piecemeal episode. you'll be glad you did trust me.
jj:
ditto on what sv said. on retrospect, nothing really happens in the
first four or five episodes of either season i've seen, then all of
sudden everthing comes together.
If you want to read Lonewacko's ideas, you could always get his magazine. We have a copy over at URKOBOLD.
I'm current on The Wire (Season 5 on HBO). Season 2 is the only season that's not extraordinary -- and even it is better than every other show I've seen.
Landsman is one of the most detestable characters on TV.
And I occasionally watch Lou Dobbs.
So what do the rest of you think about Lonewacko's tired and
stupid arguments?
I honestly acknowledge that he has stupid arguments.
Last night they mentioned Kerry Howley would be on and all the male panelists "howled."

That's obviously a fake. There's nothing in there about the
temperature of Boston Market cornbread.
Landsman is one of the most detestable characters on
TV.
Now now, he's no Rawls.

According to one particularly gut-churning turn of phrase by the
host of Red Eye, she's "so cute she sneezes marshmallows."
