I wouldn't be surprised if Joe Arpaio is behind this. From the restaurant's website, the place is literally on the Pinal County/Maricopa County line.

this is true. whether or not the cabaret licensing will go the way
of the dodo is one of those perennial 2nd avenue subway type
deals.
Yes. I remember when Giulianni and Bloomberg to a greater extent cracked down on New York dancing, someone aptly pointed out, "For Christ sake, they're allowed to dance in Adghanistan now!"
