A political party being upstaged by Ron Paul is like a moth being overshadowed by a firebug. Marginal is too broad a term to describe the LP. Language fails.

creech,

I nominate Anthony Bourdain. His slogan could be "The candidate who knows how pork ought to be done".

Drew Carey could run as VP. His foreign policy would be to go around the world challenging, and beating all of our enemies at "FIFA 08", thereby shaming them into retirement.
