It's an impressive lineup of spouses in Campaign 2008, says Robert Watson of Florida's Lynn University, who studies this sort of thing. Even Bill Clinton is kinda good. The one bum?
Mr. Watson predicted a possibly challenging road for the wife of former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former Judith Nathan, who is the only first-spouse candidate he said would not be impressive.
While she forged her own significant professional career as a nurse before marrying Mr. Giuliani in 2003, New York's tabloids have criticized her as "the other woman" in the breakup of Mr. Giuliani's second marriage. (This is her third marriage also.) Lately, his campaign has kept her under wraps while it deals with coverage of reports that when he was New York's mayor, the city paid for a security detail for Miss Nathan. They have denied the misuse of city funds.
But it will be absolutely hoo-larious when Rudy interrupts high-level diplomatic meetings to take her cell phone calls!

What's truly sad is that there is some segment of the population whose votes are affected by things like "I don't like his wife. She seems like a bitch.".
We should have a separate election for first lady.
Elizabeth Kucinich would be a shoe-in...
Click on over to Drudge and take a look at that leading picture. Think what she would look like after a term as POTUS. She wouldn't make it. This campaign has taken hundreds of years off her life.
What's truly sad is that there is some segment of the
population whose votes are affected by things like "I don't like
his wife. She seems like a bitch.".
The really sad part is the people voted based on their like or
dislike of the candidate him/herself. My wife was referring to
HRC's bitchiness, and I told her I would be fine with that, and
would vote for her, if we could somehow transplant Ron Paul's
political philosophy into her brain.
Millions of people are thinking of voting for Huckabee because he
is a pleasant guy, and not pondering what policies he'd inflict
upon us.
Who are the only two divorced First Ladies?
Quick guess without looking it up-
Andrew Jackson's wife?
Nancy Reagan?

Or even worse, "he/she has been married three times". The
horror!

"What?...OK, 2 percent or whole?...I'll stop off at the 9/11 on my
way home. Bye, hon."
Mormons have gone mainstream, otherwise *Romney,* not Giuliani, would be the butt of these multiple-wife jokes.

emphasized word misspelled. Replace "l" with an "r".
joe - hilarious!

Plus, that should read "Elizabeth Kucinich would be a shoe
in win hands down (well, one hand anyway)".
Although Jeri Thompson would certainly make this a dead heat.
If we held separate elections for first lady, I have to admit
that I wouldn't vote for the hottest one. I'd vote for the craziest
one.
Just to make the White House more interesting.
good call, RC!
and Doktor T: we're gonna lock you in Stevo's bunk for that :)
