Oh, thank you!! I saw that when it originally aired, when I was all of four years old. Channel 11 in Dallas used to play it occasionally in the 70's, although for some reason never in October. It was so nice to actually understand a blog's musical link, for once.

Man, Rankin-Bass is seriously the awesomest. I watched the special features on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and it seems like it was just a bunch of crazy dudes in the Village who said "Hey... stop motion animation..." and rolled with it. For 40 years.
Plus, The Hobbit! Thundercats! The Return of the King cartoon (infinitely better than that shitty Ralph Bakshi "Fellowship of the Ring" cartoon).
