The Price Is Right host and sitcom star Drew Carey gets serious about fixing traffic congestion in his first videojournalism clip for Reason.tv

Every journalistic creation should have "Oh shit!" in it
somewhere.
But some questions regarding the proposed private
expressways:
Who pays for the traffic improvements needed where the private
meets the public roads? I'm curious, because I can forsee many
gripes about increased flow at points A and Z (which may or may not
require less public maintenance at B through Y, depending on usage,
but still: A and Z have issues.) Also, would you want to be under
an overhead freeway during an earthquake? I have more trust in the
private sector's safety records, but that might be only because
they are private.
Drew really needs to make a full-length movie. Fat men are naturals
for documentary films: Michael Moore, that fat guy who followed
Spinal Tap around, and... what the fuck? Drew Carey! Oscars, baby!
Fuck those Emmy pieces of crap. Oscars!
Best strategy to effect the intuition of Open Source
information. Please spread this seed to the wind, but give credit
where do.
The ideal strategy to make society open source and libertarian,
with some proof.
1) Right now the world suffers because there
exists the misconception that one can own an
idea
2) This is a misconception because ideas are
holistic and particular all at once
3) So, the world needs to heal, and healing
comes from accepting the concept asserted in
2
4) Right now value and money are separated,
because we need to move to a higher
currency. Value started dying when the
concept of money first came into existence.
You can't drive someone to do something of
value, unless you are a perfect
slave-driver. A perfect slave-driver is one
who is both slave and master, but has no
perception of its masterhood.
It would perform its task ideally and
without deviance. Dumb things move forward
most powerfully.
5) If you've understood the above, you have a
perfect insight into physics and psychology,
the pair that united would produce mind.
So, the strategy to unify this fractured
world is to patent ideas that will be
valuable as rapidly as possible, and then
distribute the money that you receive
logically.
When enough people do this, the dawn of the new Enlightenment will
be upon us.
I suspect it will take until about 2012. Then a few more seconds
spiraling to all orders of negative infinity, then void, then the
birth of a NEW PURE FORM!!!

""Every journalistic creation should have "Oh shit!" in it
somewhere.""
You are correct, Jon, because journalism is shit. It's facts about
a story, but stories aren't facts. Shit is filthy because it's
incomplete; we turn away from it if we are disgusted with our self,
somehow, and want to be something else.
Luckily, the ass is pulling the angel closer.
If you've understood the above, you have a
perfect insight into physics and psychology,
the pair that united would produce mind.
I'm afraid you've lost me, Stephen.
Drew should avoid a long movie like ass cancer. TV is his
medium.
That was an excellent presentation.
Not to help nudge the thread off-track, but this is so goofy I
can't let it pass:
1) Right now the world suffers because there
exists the misconception that one can own an
idea
Quite literally: Where in the world do you get that idea? No legal
system allows for ownership of "ideas." They allow for temporary
ownership of specific expressions.
That's not just hair-splitting semantics. It's a fundamental
distinction, and it renders this particular anti-IP argument
useless out of the gate.
When enough people do this, the dawn of the new
Enlightenment will be upon us
Thank you Chairman Mao.
Then a few more seconds spiraling to all orders of negative
infinity, then void, then the birth of a NEW PURE FORM!!!

Did you see the schizophrenic guy posting on HnR? His name is
Stephen Schweizer.
There could have been some interesting discussion on this topic is someone didn't ruin it by dragging Rush into it. I happen to like Rush a lot but why does it have to crap all over so many threads?
Good show, and I agree with Drew Carey, but about the guy that drove an hour and a half for 16 miles; what about a bicycle? or walking?
stephen, it's a bit too early in the day for bong
hits.
See, that's where we'll just have to agree to disagree, edna.

Don't worry Stephen, you will get full credit for that post.
