For those with an unrestrainable yen to know how much cash every presidential candidate raised in the third fundraising quarter that ended yesterday--well, except for Bill Richardson (claiming $5.2 million for the quarter), the rest aren't saying yet.
As Hit and Run readers know, Ron Paul raised $1.2 million just in the last week.

Do you think they are waiting till Fri. so that it will still be news on Sun. morning?
"According to the email, Edwards was close to raising $1 million
on line for the quarter"
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
So what is everybody's guess on what Paul raised? You have to figure the initial $500,000 plea was to reach some benchmark, and since it came with an "assurance" they were going to raise more than the previous quarter, it had to be more than 2 million. So it was probably to get them to either 3 or 4. So my guess is that it will be 3.5 million.
I'm gonna shoot for the stars as Ron Paul surprises everyone an raised $10 Million this quarter.
Judging by all the fundraiser activities he had this quarter compared to about zero last quarter (As well expensive dinners for almost every rally), I would guess over 5-6 million.
I say they had ~$3 million before the Raise to Win campaign, so
I'll guess $4.5 million for the third quarter.
Oh, and anybody know when they are required to post their
numbers?
"Oh, and anybody know when they are required to post their

Financial data must be submitted to FEC by 10/15.
My guess for RP is $4M for Q3. I would also guess that he hasn't
spent much of what was raised in Q2, either.
Drudge has links which say Obama raised 19 million and McCain raised 5 million but still owes 2 million.
Another good question would be how much Romney "loaned" his own campaign "so that he wouldn't have to cater to the special interests." He had to write out a $9M IOU to himself for last quarter...

Good thing we have McCain-Feingold to protect us from...
Oh..
Just got this in the e-mail...
Paul Campaign Raises Over $5,000,000 In Third Quarter
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA - The Ron Paul 2008 presidential campaign
raised $5,080,000 during the third quarter of 2007. That is an
impressive 114 percent increase from the second quarter.
Cash on hand for the Paul campaign is $5,300,000.
"Dr. Paul's message is freedom, peace and prosperity," said Paul
campaign chairman Kent Snyder. "As these fundraising numbers show,
more Americans each day are embracing Dr. Paul's message."
Ron Paul's 114 percent increase is in stark contrast to the
decrease suffered by Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain.
Romney's fundraising was down 29 percent. Giuliani was down 40
percent. McCain was down 55 percent.
