I'm happy to (belatedly) report that "Hopsicles" have returned to the Rustico bar just down the road from me in Alexandria, Virginia.
You may remember that earlier this summer the bar ran into trouble
from the state Alcohol Beverage Control for violating an obscure,
anachronistic law stating that alcohol must be stored in its
original container until it's served to customers. ABC didn't
rescind that dumb regulation, mind you. Rather, Rustico worked with
ABC agents to figure out a way around to
comply with it.
I plan to sample the wares this week.
