'God Saves Our Bunnies'
An Indonesian court has
rejected indecency charges against the editor of Indonesian
Playboy, finding that the magazine's slightly risqué
pictures of clothed women "could not be categorized as pornography"
because all the naughty bits were covered. Islamic activists, who
want to forbid women from wearing "provocative clothing" in
everyday life as well as magazine spreads, are pissed:
A leader of the Islamic Defenders Front, Irwan Asidi, warned his organisation would "declare war" on Playboy. "We will attack the Playboy office and sweep up copies of the magazine, which will destroy the morals of Indonesian children."

This might be a terribly unpopular opinion/rant but I'll state
my case anyway....
I've grown tired of making excuses for the whole Arabic world...
I'm known around the circle of my friends as the Islam appologist,
but frankly I'm beginning to have a change of heart.
We honestly stand at a crossroads of human history. We can embrace
the 'west' and begin to see human civilization propeled forward in
a huge surge of science, or waste our time, money, resourses and
young people to this worthless fight against a people that
obviously do not want to see anything in thier shallow world
change.
I'm starting to think that maybe wiping these people off the face
of the earth might not be a bad thing. Maybe humans just need a
systematic genocide every few hundred years to weed out the
undesireables.
We can continue to fight these people for the next what, hundred,
two hunderd, three hundred years, wasting huge amounts of time,
money etc. Or just give them the ultimate ultimatum, either learn
to play nice with the other kids in the sandbox, or get wiped out.
The world is too small for people to just decide to Jihad
everything they dont agree with, which to these people seems to be
everything.
I'm done making excuses for these people, if really were the Roman
empire we would have wiped these people out 5 years ago.

This assumes Indonesian children are born with perfectly good

the people over there.
OTOH, I've spent time talking to shop keepers and people in cafes
in Middle Eastern countries, (Egypt, Jordan, and too a lesser
extent, Turkey) and found most of them to be intelligent,
well-read, completely charming people. My experience was before
2001, but I have at least spent enough time over there to realize
that Middle Easterners are no more monolithic than any other group
defined by geography.

Re: Playboy's circulation, I think they make most of their money off their brand and various media endeavors these days, and not off the magazine itself, which is mostly a promotional tool. We have airbases in Italy, I'm sure some Italians might not be

soldiers in Italy do you?
We have large interests in Hong Kong and Taiwan, its no secret that
the Chinese are not happy about this, again, you dont see tons of
Chinese people blowing up American business in Hong Kong do
you?
Anger over US interests is understandable, blowing up shit because
your angry is not acceptable. My 3 year old gets angry at me
sometimes and throws a tantrum and throws things, I let him know in

What's scary is this sort of protest is starting to raise it's
ugly head here in the United States.
Talked to a fellow Blog Talk Radio-er the other day, "Karen" of K's
Frame of Mind, and she told me that the Muslims in Cincinnati are
still out there every week protesting the 24-Hour Fitness Clubs
throughout southern Ohio for allowing Co-Ed Male/Female
workouts.
They are wanting the 24-Hour Fitness Centers to separate Males from
Females in their facilities.
Why aren't we hearing about this in the libertarian media?
We're already starting to see what's in store for the US with
what's happening in Western Europe: Paris banning nude or topless
sunbathing, Gays being jeered by Muslim youth in the streets of
Amsterdam, Prostitutes closing their window shops due to Muslim
pressure.
It's coming here folks. And the Ohio stuff is just the
beginning.
