I'll be talking up my new book at the San Diego Libertarian Party convention this Saturday, Feb. 10. The book, Radicals for Capitalism: A Freewheeling History of the Modern American Libertarian Movement, is officially out next week.
My talk will focus on the LP's role as one of the first modern American libertarian movement institutions to switch from a purely educational (or, in some cases, escapist) role to one of trying to affect political change, with a survey of all that's happened along the way.
Here
are all the details on the convention, held at the Marina
Village Conference Center in San Diego.
The walk-up ticket charge is $80, though that includes lunch and
dinner. My talk is from 1:15 to 1:45, and itself worth every
penny.
