Was the conference as pointless as I read (between the lines) it was?
So the basic issue was:
"The climate is changing. We need more money [to support our kleptocrats]!". Hooray for environmentalism.

Pointless? One could say counterproductive. Do you know the carbon footprint of air travel?
Get these guys on a blog or IRC and let them hash it out. If you must, a video teleconference would at least waste less of everyone's time and fuel.
