A Falun Gong protester who briefly interrupted Chinese President
Hu Jintao's welcoming speech
will be charged with speechcrime
disorderly conduct and "intimidating" a foreign official. President
Bush has apologized to Hu (whom?) for the incident. "He just said
this was unfortunate and I'm sorry it happened," Dennis Wilder,
acting senior director for Asian affairs on the National Security
Council staff, tells
AP.
Happy ending watch: Hu "was gracious in accepting Bush's apology," Wilder said.
