if they'd have bothered to go in for a followup visit, those women would not have gone septic and died. duh.

of course, if you can bother yourself to actually go to a clinic, chances are you'd have gotten the D&C instead of the Mifeprex

Yes, actually. And since there's a good chance that some riskier pregnancies are aborted before they become dangerous to the mother, the mortality rate for pregnancy is probably LOWER thanks to abortion.
