There is a man—a certain man
And for the truth of nine-one-one
He's doing all he can!
The feds can't screen
The things he's seen
He tells the news
He's off the booze, but now what can he mean?
He's Charlie Sheen!
He's Charlie Sheen!
And Charlie Sheen has joined "a growing army of other highly credible public figures" with the courage to speak out about the 9/11 hoax:
Sheen described the climate of acceptance for serious discussion about 9/11 as being far more fertile than it was a couple of years ago.
"It feels like from the people I talk to in and around my circles, it seems like the worm is turning...
"I was up early and we were gonna do a pre-shoot on Spin City, the show I used to do, I was watching the news and the north tower was burning. I saw the south tower hit live, that famous wide shot where it disappears behind the building and then we see the tremendous fireball."
"There was a feeling, it just didn't look any commercial jetliner I've flown on any time in my life and then when the buildings came down later on that day I said to my brother 'call me insane, but did it sorta look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition'?"
Was he talking to Emilio, Renée, Ramon, or Zeppo? Yet another unanswered 9/11 question...
Charlie Sheen shoots Kelly Preston.
Soon-to-be-ex-wife Denise Richards is concerned about Sheen's gambling.
Sheen, his suspicions not limited to the Bush administration, tries to get Heather Locklear to spy on Richards.
Sheen's Two-And-A-Half Men co-star Jon Cryer describes his own more humble standing in the post-brat-pack pecking order: "I was so grateful that nobody cared when I was getting a divorce."
I debate Sheen's fellow 9/11 truth seeker, Ken Jenkins.

Glad to see some Americans are ready to fight against the horrifying 9/11 hoax.
The fact that he starred on Spin City and yet hasn't plunged daggers into his eyes in shame brings his credibility way down, as far as I'm concerned.
Paging Dave W.! Paging Dave W.!
The secret designers would like to chat with you.
One does have to wonder, though, how 19 little dudes with pocket
knives could pull such a thing off. Just the same, to call 9/11 a
hoax is really, really wacky.
JMJ
That 9/11 conspiracy "Bushies did it on purpose" crap is really
batshit insane.
I'm not saying there's nothing hidden behind the 'offical story
line' -- I'm quite sure there was a lot of ass-covering going on,
from the White House down to the NY Fire Dept.
But Bushies doing it on purpose? Controlled demolition'? Look at
the way theyve managed Iraq. Theyre boobs. They couldnt have
pulled off 9/11 without getting caught. Not in a million years!
It's completely impossible.
These people piss me off. I was there. I saw it. Now that's not to say that being an eyewitness tells you everything that was going on, but it tells me more than some jackass who only saw it on TV. Fuck you very much, Charlie Sheen.
I can see the attraction of living in a world where:
1) People in power are actually clever enough to do this.
2) A major terrorist attack is beyond the means of 19 guys with
knives, cleverness, fanaticism, and enough time to carefully
plan.
That's not the world we live in, however.
Yes, and the mountains of evidence from air traffic control reports, plance-to-ground calls, airport cameras, etc., etc., etc., makes these people all look like the paranoid fools they are.
1 - 'if the leader of the free world couldnt get away with a
simple blowjob without partisan opportunists attacking him from
every angle, he sure as fuck cant pull off anything REALLY secret
without someone burning him for their own gain'
and 2 - 'government is far too incompetent for successful
conspiracies'.
basically, self-interest and human stupidity are guiding laws i
think people forget about from time to time.
good piece to read, BTW

a growing army of other highly credible public
figures
I like how in the links from that story, they keep repeating the
word 'credible,' as if that is some kind of defense against being
call a nutjob.
Am I the only one who remembers seeing a physicist (or engineer, or
similiar), on national TV explaining how the intense heat of the
burning jet fuel weakened the frame of the towers, and that caused
the collapse?
Paging Dave W.!
It's funny how a little discovery & litigation in the Moussaoui
case is uncovering much more meaningful info about protecting
America than the Official 9/11 Commission ever did. Wonder what the
civil litigation against the airlines will uncover. Since we live
in an age where journalists aren't properly incentivized to do
FOIAs, we have to rely on the bar to kind of stand in for the free
press.
Three men can keep a secret if two of them are dead (and the third can keep mum when it comes to bragging with the old boys in the bar and/or the new girlfriend in bed)
I can see the attraction of living in a world where: 1)
People in power are actually clever enough to do this.2) A major
terrorist attack is beyond the means of 19 guys with knives,
cleverness, fanaticism, and enough time to carefully

"People in power"? You mean the people who appear to be in power,
right? True power conceals itself.
Who said that the White House signed off on this? The executive
branch is a gigantic labyrinthine entity, most of which no one
person, not even the President, can hope to keep tabs on, let alone
control.
The way I see it, if 19 random Saudis can manage to do it without
getting caught, a faction of 19 in one of the deep dark corners of
the govt can do it even better.
And Charlie Sheen has joined "a growing army of other highly
credible public figures"
I though all the booze & cocaine made him a 'high' public
figure...Not a 'highly credible' one.
Prostitutes. Madames. Porn Stars. Rehab. Incredible
maybe...but not an indicator of 'credible'...at least as I define
it.
"The way I see it, if 19 random Saudis can manage to do it
without getting caught'
They very cleverly evaded capture by killing themselves in the
process.
As for not getting caught before the plan is carried out, that is
much easier to do.
"Prostitutes. Madames. Porn Stars. Rehab. Incredible maybe...but
not an indicator of 'credible'...at least as I define it."
And you call yourself a libertarian!
Col DuBois-
The conspiracy theorists aren't just positing that 19 federal
employees did something in their dark corner. They're positing that
they failed to cover their tracks, so numerous investigators at
every level of numerous agencies had no choice but to hide it on
behalf of these 19 guys operating in a dark corner. That's clearly
a ridiculous conspiracy theory, because somebody would talk if 19
guys failed to cover their tracks and left behind ample evidence of
it.
The best advice I've ever heard about fanciful claims of
conspiracies comes from Napoleon: "Never ascribe to malice what can
adequately be explained by incompetence." 9/11 was the brainchild
of an evil wackjob in a cave, but it succeeded in its sick way
because lots of people made dimwit errors at critical times. One
alert FBI official in August of that year, and the whole plan would
have collapsed.
I think people prefer to believe in Dr. Moriarty masterminding
elaborate criminal conspiracies because the evil professor can be
put at a safe psychological distance. The actual perpetrators of
most of the great crimes in history were otherwise pathetic losers
in cheap apartments, and whose plots could have been foiled by one
non-comatose cop. All of us make dumb mistakes from time to time.
Therefore, it's easy to imagine that any of us could have failed at
the one point necessary to stop this particular plot. I'd never be
able to live with myself if I were the FBI agent who ignored the
tip from Michigan about the Arabs in flight school who skipped out
on landing class. It's much easier to believe that this was plotted
by invincible superpeople with equally invincible technology. Thus,
we're absolved of responsibility.
The way I see it, if 19 random Saudis can manage to do it
without getting caught, a faction of 19 in one of the deep dark
corners of the govt can do it even better.
Uh, they weren't random Saudis (some were Egyptian and Yemeni,
IIRC) who suddenly just decided to do this on a whim. They trained
for years at Al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan and at flight
schools in the US.
I remember back in the mid-90's members of the Fringe Right were
certain the OK City bombing was Clinton's "Reichstag
Fire", an incident that was set up by the White House in order to
justify imposing martial law on the US. I'm sure there are still
some who believe that McVeigh was actually a government agent.
thoreau: let me get this straight...there's evidence that the conspiracy theory is true, therefore it can't be true?
People want to see conspiracy theories because it is more comforting than the truth. It is in someway comforting to know that it takes a big evil conspiracy to pull off something as aweful as 9-11. What is disturbing is that a collection of loosers and nobodies like Bin Laden and Atta could manage to do it. People look for conspiracy theories in 9-11 for the same reason that they look for them in the Kennedy assasination, it is just terrifying to think that an determined, faceless, looser, nobody can change history and murder 1000s.
"I was up early and we were gonna do a pre-shoot on Spin
City, the show I used to do, I was watching the news and the north
tower was burning. I saw the south tower hit live, that famous wide
shot where it disappears behind the building and then we see the
tremendous fireball."
Early? He was up early? Gee, I'd already driven 1/2 hour to work
and sat through a sales team meeting by the time the second tower
was hit. Wasn't that at almost 10 in the morning? Yeah, ok
Charlie...how bad was your hangover that Tuesday?
Col.-
No. The conspiracy theorists insist that the proof is out there but
every investigator at every level of every agency is refusing to
talk about it. That is a much grander conspiracy theory than the
one you originally put forth about a handful of guys in a dark
corner doing something on their own.
If you want me to believe that a handful of guys in a dark corner
did something, you need to (1) provide good evidence and (2) give a
non-crazy explanation for why everybody else has failed to figure
this out.
The best advice I've ever heard about fanciful claims of
conspiracies comes from Napoleon: "Never ascribe to malice what can
adequately be explained by incompetence."
Boogeymen are more fun and allow you to rest in your beliefs with
ever more assuredness.
Imagine these people, had they been alive at the outset of WWI.
"THERE'S NO WAY THAT SEVEN SERBS COULD HAVE DONE THIS! IT WAS
GERMANY! NO! IT WAS HUNGARY! NO! IT WAS THE ILLUMINATI!"
The only "controlled demolition" Charlie Sheen is familiar with is the one he pays the hooker for.
The Spin City pre-shoots were probably in California, so it was
earlier there.
I am not (yet) a conspiracy theorist about the collapse of the
towers, but for various reasons I heard about the collapses on the
radio as they were happening, but did not see them until much
later. The fact of the towers collapsing, at the time, surprised me
much more than the hi-jacking and plane strikes. After I saw the
footage on TV that evening, I got less suspicious for whatever
reason.
My mom worked for one of the airlines when this happened and was
able to tell me the details about one of the flights before the
media reported it. This means that the airlines were obviously in
on the conspiracy.
I'm not sure exactly what happened to those flights. Maybe they
never existed or perhaps they also were shot down like the plane in
Pennsylvania, but Farmer Jones didn't see them so Bush, Israel, and
the Cons didn't have to change the story. In any case, would it
surprise anyone to know that a lot of people with knowledge of this
conspiracy got on a plane that crashed on 9/11? It wouldn't
surprise me! Therefore, I'm pretty sure it's true.
Obviously the airlines (corporations) played a big part in this
conspiracy, and it was planned well in advance. I'm sure that you'd
find that the executives short sold the airlines using stocks held
in employee pensions. This would be easy to prove if it weren't for
the SEC covering it up, which they surely did then using Enron as a
clever diversion tactic.
One more thing: I heard this point raised yesterday... How is it possible that these gigantic airplanes were able to decend from the sky and hit targets that were just a little over 200' wide? Well-trained pilots would have difficultly being that precise, let alone amateurs. Plus, when would you ever be able to practice such a thing?
Ammonium-
Don't airplanes routinely manage to connect with a runway that is
about as wide as the wingspan?
The Spin City pre-shoots were probably in California, so it
was earlier there.
That occurred to me after I posted :-)
But then, I also thought he meant he saw Tower II "live"...he meant
on live tv. OK, so he's even stupider than I gave credit for.
Ammonium,
They are called flight simulators. Hell, the off the self Microsoft
flight is a pretty good one and before 9-11 even had the
skyscrapers of various cities for you to fly into. Put it your
terms, how in the world does an airplane take off from JFK, fly
half way around the world and land on a 200 foot wide runway in
London? I don't believe it.
I think (hope) Ammonium is having his satirical way with conspiracists, and you're stepping in it, Dr T and John.

1-there are lots of discrepencies in the official story (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9-11_domestic_conspiracy ) and
conspiracy theories are usually only able to go this far. its
illogical to demand conspiracy theorists to know everything about
how it really happened, how could they?
2-almost everyone is not even able to consider that the official
story is wrong.
Popular Mechanics did a fine takedown on most of the 'evidence'
of the highly-credibly conspiracy theorists.
