Ok. It looks to me like this article needs a fact checker and some editing. The Exxon Valdez ran aground in Prince William Sound. It did not sink.
Despite all the hatred of corporations that is spewed by the
enviro-left, the real bogeymen are not major corporations, but
small companies, mom-and-pop businesses, and you and me.
Major corporations are not stupid. They have plenty of very bright
people who care about the environment, and in general, have put
lots of effort into extracting every drop of energy and eliminating
every drop of waste that can be done profitably. On the other hand,
individuals and small businesses rarely utilize all the options
available to them. How many incandescent light bulbs do you have in
your house? One is too many. I bet there aren't many at any major
corporation, however.
Corporations may make messes on a bigger scale than you or I, but
on a unit basis, they are far, far cleaner than we will ever be.
When the enviro-left rails against big business, they fail to
realize that the alternative is even dirtier small businesses.
You guys have posted an *excellent* article.
Not only has McDonald's done a lot for the
environment, they've also been real heroes for
animals welfare. McDonald's has revolutionized
how farm animals are treated.
