    I have never been sure if the Federalist Society named themselves after the cabal of Hamilton, Madison and Jay who usurp the name in order to allay the not unfounded fears that their intent was to replace the then existing federal government with an overpowering centralized form of national governance, or if they truly admire and advocate confederate government.
