Jeff Taylor says the big lesson from Tuesday's elections is: There's no big lesson from Tuesday's elections.

The big message there? That given a choice between politics
and hot girl-on-girl action, America wins every time.
Amen!
Who needs girl on girl action when I can get a stiffy from checking out the guy's ass in the "Beware of Weight Training" Ad to the right?
Re: the California propositions
Why in the world would a conservative trying to push some reform
items in a blue state (I know, I know, it's not that blue,
but it still trends that way) include hot-buttons like abortion and
union dues? I don't know how much coordination there was, but to
combine the teacher tenure, fiscal control and redistricting along
with some of the feel-good liberal issues like abortion and unions
pretty much guaranteed that the liberals and progressives and
anti-GOPers in general would turn out to protect their sacred cows.
I think a lot of people would have listened to the actual reform
issues, especially to the redistricting issue, if there hadn't been
the spectre of the Evil Republicans coming to take away your right
to abortion and threaten the unions.
I know that some here have said that none of Arnold's props were
all that reform-minded anyway, and I do agree to a point, but it
would have been a start at least.
The only problem with the Carolina "hot girl-on-girl action?"
Nobody got it on video!!!! What sort of half-assed country is this,
anyway?
As a Virginian, I must say that the gubernatorial TV ads on both
sides made me want to poke my eyes out. And I've acquired a
reasonably high tolerance for such things.
Kaine's win in Va. should be disheartening for the Republicans
for one reason. Mark Warner's credentials as a democrat that can
affect elections positively for the dems in a substantially
republican state puts him that much closer to being a viable
candidate for Prez come 2008.
I think Republicans are hoping that the Dems run Hillary in 2008
because they know they can beat her. Mark Warner not so much.
My prediction - if the dems are smart enough to run Mark in 2008
(not likely, I know) they will get back the presidency.
Steven Crane,
Something tells me that Herrick just might be a caricature in the
tradition of Juanita.
I heard a speculation that the outgoing VA governor will seek
his party's nomination, as will one of the state's GOP
Senators.
VA vs. VA? That would be interesting. I'd be living in the same
media market as a swing state, so I'd probably see non-stop
commercials.

Well, it is illegal to put a camera in the ladies bathroom. But if
it makes you feel any better, they have been offered a deal by
Penthouse.
thoreau, I can promise you, it is teh suX0r. During 2004's election season, I swear to dog I saw the Swift Boat ad in every. Single. Break.
But if it makes you feel any better, they have been offered
a deal by Penthouse.
Big surprise there.
Sorry . . . ironic "1337 5p34k" (leet speak) for "the suck," or
more properly, "it sucks."
5uX0r = suck
h4x0r = hacker
pwn3d = owned
. . . etc.
You know, i was just about to compare south democratic govenor
Mark Warner's chances to becoming president to Carter in 76, but I
don't think comparing a candidate you support to Jimmy Carter is a
good thing to do.
Now Clinton on the other hand....
That's quite interesting. You can visit the mentioned site for free blogs and have a great blogging experience.
J,
well Mark is a lot taller than Jimmy Carter. I think that is what
they call the "confounding variable" that nullifies the
similarities :)
