Milliman said the Osprey and the Super Stallion have little overlap in their missions. The Osprey's problems have made it a convenient target for critics

I know, but I wanna bash the Osprey anyway. Every year it's going to enter service in three years. Would do great things if it would ever work.

The narrative of "the Democrats" not knowing what to say about the war only applies to the shrinking DLC faction of the party. There is a clear message from the rank and file, and the DLC is losing its grip on the party. No one from that wing of the party is going to win the nomination in 2008, and the Congressional seats gained are going to be won by Paul Hacketts, not Joe Liebermans.

It's not a good idea to write about "the Democrats" the way you write about the Republicans. There actually is a Republican position on most things.

Can we all agree that Christian-Fundy-Homophobes are nowhere near the mainstream now?

RE: Google Sidebar

"The worry for Microsoft is that the fewer Windows features its customers use, the less important they will believe the operating system to be."

I love when companies treat their customers like morons.

The further the Dems move away from the DLC, the more likely they are to get their heads handed to them. Just another confirmation of the myth of "fiscal conservatism" that exists on the Dem side.

Too bad is also now a myth on the Rep side.

In Philly, sure - not sure about the Heartland, though.

I'm trying out the Google Sidebar right now - this seems *really* cool [especially if you have an enormous monitor like I do at work].

I don't think the Phillies could legally stop the Repent America group from hanging out the sign even if they wanted to do so without running afoul of the ACLU as the Detroit Tigers did twenty or so years ago in a case involving the right of fans to chant the F word.

Me? If it's a privately owned or leased ballpark I say the Tigers can make whatever rules they want and the Phillies can toss the fundies on their collective ears. But then I'm in the minority on that. Okay, maybe not on tossing the fundies.

TWC-
Does the ACLU still intervene on behalf of right-wingers? I kinda remember a story about them backing a student Bible study in a school a couple years ago, but I could be wrong.

As for a ball clubs right to toss people, do they have that right if they're leasing it from a quango stadium authority?

Don M,

"The further the Dems move away from the DLC, the more likely they are to get their heads handed to them." That's a pretty broad statement. If "move away from the DLC" means "oppose welfare reform, try to ban hand guns, and sing Give Peace a Chance," you are correct. However, if it means siding with the majority of Americans who think the war wasn't worth it, endorse health care reform, and come out agains the MBNA credit car bill, you're wrong.
