Fix the Patriot Act?
They can't fix something that they don't admit is FLAWED.

A footnote: We should really be referring to the USA PATRIOT Act, since the name is an acronym for Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism. Don't want to confuse it with just any old Patriot Act, you know.
And to think, our taxes actually paid someone to come up with that. Bet he got a bonus, too.

Crusader Rabbit,
Unless it was the same person who came up with the late-unlamented MATRIX database of TSA fame. IIRC, there were no words beginning with R or even containing X in its full name...

Go Larry Craig! As a former Idahoan, I'm proud that on the rare occasion anyone hears from a representative of Idaho, it's as a critic of that patriot act. It's just too bad it's such a narrow re-tooling.

How can you possibly find anything wrong with a law that has the intent of stopping terrorism, even if it's never done so and has almost exclusively been used successfully to do what could have been done using prior laws regarding illegal drug activities? Why, that's just plain UNAMERICAN!

Jeff Sessions, Richard Shelby, and Orrin Hatch are the GOP's police state Borg Collective in Congress. Of course, they get a lot of help from Dem collaborators like Dianne Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, and Jerry Nadler. What a bunch of fucking pigs.

You've pretty much identified the Hall of Shame there.
For all that I have problems with his pro-life positions, I have to always give a shout out for Ron Paul. He always manages a clear distinction on constitutional power and authority. Consequently nobody outside of his home district and the libertarian movement has ever heard of him.
