The U.S. Supreme court has again declined to take up the Terri Schiavo case.
The Florida Department of Children and Families still has a petition before Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge George Greer, alleging neglect and new evidence that Schiavo is minimally conscious. Greer is expected to rule on that tomorrow.

The "new evidence" is a statement by a neurologist who reviewed
her medical records, and observed--but did not examine--her at the
hospice. I can't imagine it will carry enough weight to issue a
stay.
Considering that one of the arguments of the pro-tube crowd is that
the doctors in the earlier trial (the ones they disagree with
anyway) did not spend *enough* time examining her, I find it
completely nonsensical that they would support this new evidence.
Not that that will matter.
Just to prove how Hollywood this has become:
The Supremes won't be saying "Stop! In the name of life, before you
break her heart!"
And, of course, Micheal Schiavo is on (Mrs.) Schindler's List.
Hmm, the Second Bush Term is already starting out well for Bush
and his right wing kook followers. First they get slammed on Social
Security, then they hitch their wagon to this train wreck. And it's
not even April yet.
Maybe they overestimated the amount of "political capital"
available for use.
Gary,
As a legal type, perhaps you could find evidence from prior cases
that Greer has worked on, that go right along with Bush's agenda
(thus showing BillyRay that Greer upholds the LAW, not the
politics). I tried a Google search, but everything came up Schiavo,
and I couldn't find any other hits.
Ok, really, does anyone know the answer to: Is her brain
actually still there, or is it a pool of spinal fluid?
I've heard that Schiavo was recently featured on an episode of
Girls Gone Wild with Snoop Dogg, and I've heard that she's
basically akin to a potted plant.
What's the deal?
"Bush has never had a man date. He's always been
heterosexual."
That's a relief--thank God all those Victor Ashe rumors are
untrue.
Well, there was this one time in college where I experimented with another male cheerleader, but that wasn't really a date.
"Well, there was this one time in college where I experimented
with another male cheerleader, but that wasn't really a
date."
As long as you didn't inhale, it's OK.
Well it's obvious that Judge Greer is a fucking
meathead.
And it's obvious everything you know about the law you learned from
your public defense attorney during your wifebeating trial.
