Bush does seem like a genuine guy. I disagree with a lot that he has doen, but he does seem like a genuine dude. Much like McCain, I have to say I am totally opposed to the McCain-Feingold, and some of his other shenanigans, but he is an admirable guy.
Ayn: Since the poster's name was Ersatz Joe, I think he was parodying our resident liberal, joe.
Perhaps this is just a wee bit of political theater designed to distract us from Gannongate.
No doubt, it's been very hard to keep distracted from that
riveting scandal.

As noted elsewhere, Rove must stop these recording from getting out, lest Bush's approval ratings get above 60-70%.
