Cows Like Beer Too

This important story got lost in the holiday folderol, but cows like beer. A beer distributor in Iowa offered a cattle feed company skunked brew to mix with its cow chow. The result is a bunch of happy beeves that "now hesitate to eat food prepared any other way." Can a bovine 12-step program be far behind?

Wow. Bailey posted something irreverent. That surprises me more than that cows like beer!

I love Iowa!

So...did the cows start tipping each other?

fyodor,

And he deserves a break from covering environmental no-nothings as they distort science in order to justify their attempts to limit our liberty.

...of course that should be "know-nothings".

Just because I broke my New Year's resolution, to start using the Preview button, it doesn't mean that I'm not a really nice person :)

Would a "no-nothing" be a smiley faced new ager?

Kobe beef is $300 a pound because those damn things drank nothing but beer before death. Well, that and they get the massages.

And the breeding lines.

So...did the cows start tipping each other?

joe, that is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on H&R.

The answer is that it depends on whether they're angry drunks or happy drunks.

As to 12 step programs for bovines, in another thread I suggested that hawks should say the Serenity Prayer. Apparently the cows should too.

As a Festivus observer, I say "Serenity now".

joe, very funny on the cow tipping!

Can you imagine the flatulence? Cows are bad enough without beer.

I wonder if they'd like opium poppies too. Supposedly the water buffalo in Southeast Asia enjoy chowing down on the wild poppy bulbs when they're in season.

Great. Now we're gonna have cow beer farts.
