The Hertford Code

The Knights Templar surface in an English market town. Secret tunnels exist, or don't, in the store-room cupboard of a clothes shop. There are rumors of a ghostly vacuum-cleaner, and of the secret origins of the biscuit. It sounds like a James P. Blaylock novel, but actually it's a funny dispatch in The Guardian.

Viz headline: "Jesus' Y-Fronts found in West Midlands"

    Ni!

    Let's see...

    Knights Templar...

Counting the headline, byline and intro, that article is 23 paragraphs long.

    Written on January 4, which is 1/4, or 1 + 4 = 5.

    In 2005, including the 5 and the 2 (which + 3 = 5 or together with 3 is 23).

It's also written on Tuesday, or "Two's day." Tuesday is 8 letters. Take out 2 and you have 6 letters left, which is 2*3.

This has the Illuminati's handwriting all over it. Eris save us.

Mmmmmmmmm the perfect distractions for the holy rollers and secularists in this country - a great pursuit of the grail.

Maybe we could take some of the country back from under them while they're off playing Indiana Jones.

Czar: Three shalt be the number of the counting, and the number of the counting shalt be three.

Thou shalt not count to four, nor shalt thought count to two, unless thou then proceedeth immediately to three.

    Five is right out.

And after thou has counted unto three -- no more, no less -- thou shalt lob thy Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine enemies, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

Three!? Surely you're joking. After all, the Law of Fives is more manifest the more you look for it, as is the holy number 23.
