Don't Ask the Army, They Don't Want to Tell

Supersoldier Col. David "Hack" Hackworth over at WorldNetDaily, in the context of a piece lamenting the army's tendency to lie and exaggerate to create heroes such as Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch, notes:

I recently reported how the Army Recruiting Command was having a serious shortfall in enlistment and how that could impact on troop strength in Iraq. Within a day of my story's release, the Recruiting Command put out an order that read: "The daily production report [which I incidentally based some of my article on] ... is now considered a 'For Official Use Only' ... Dissemination of that report with[out] the approval of this HQ ... is prohibited."

You guys need to figure out how to timestamp a post to the time it get's posted instead of when it was started.

This is a fine post, but it won't get the attention it deserves cause it's burried five hours deep.

The point that is missing here is that the Army reads Hackworth because he knows what he is talking about. There are quite a few orders issued about the things that Hackworth discusses in his articles. He should be on everyones must read list.
