I'm not sure how this demonstrates any cultural "change" in the web. Maybe if you view the web from a particular angle, i.e. entertainment vs. news, but it's more abstract. Everybody has been waiting to see Saddam. Not as many have been waiting to see Spider Man 2.
You'll be able to download Spider Man 2 from Kazaa in a few weeks anyway.

Couldn't you have at least titled this "Spider Hole vs. Spider Man" ??? Isn't that why you're getting paid the big bucks?

Well, given that the first Spiderman movie wasn't very good to begin with.... :)

The Spider Man 2 trailer is the top item on Blogdex, for what it's worth.

Only because the geniuses at the studios posted the trailer as some kind of funky embedded Shockwave. Saddam would be on the back page if they'd used the accepted standard Sorenson Quicktime!

Jeez, that trailer was pretty freaking cool... Saddam who again?

You know, a younger Saddam might have made a good Kraven the Hunter...
