An article in the Times this weekend charts the ascendancy of the economics department at my alma mater, New York University. This is good news because, as a spillover effect, it will increase the market value of econ degrees from one of the few departments that maintains a decent program in Austrian economics.

Too bad the trustees at Auburn U. decided to sabotage our econ. program, making my degree less valuable on the market in retrospect. Still, I see one of my former teachers is doing well as the LSE: http://www.mises.org/classroom/lse.asp
