Free Business Plans!

On Tuesday, Sara noted Salon's ongoing search for a viable business model. I have just one thing to add: If the webzine is really serious about surviving, it should turn to Ken Layne or Colby Cosh for advice.

I think both plans are much more viable than the pay or pay more scheme that salon seems to be using. It looks like there are now 2 ways to view the "Premium" content on their site: pay a lot and see ads or pay even more to not see them. Personally, I find the full screen, click-through ads much more annoying than I do the ads in a traditional print magazine. But really, the only thing I'll miss from salon is the personals column. That was almost always funny. Yesterday they had a demure asian girl who thought that spooning was sexy. Wow!

Salon had better writers in the past than it does now.

I'll say. Notice how they bash Bush for the tax cuts, but say NOTHING about spending. Idiots.

Here is a cool view of the stupid 'stimulus' ideas of the retards in congress:

They should charge 50 cents for every e-mail submitted to rebut an Andrew Sullivan or David Horowitz column, and for $20 they'll post your letter for the world to read. Think of it as an online dunk-tank.
