The Department of Defense confirms that it spammed top Iraqi military leaders in an attempt to convince them not to use chemical or biological weapons in any clash with US forces.
It can't hurt, I suppose. But who knew the Air Force has an entire wing dedicated to spam from above?

Joe:
bin Laden hates Jews.
Sadam hates Jews.
bin Laden hates America.
Sadam hates America.
I'm sure they could get over their differences long enough to work
together on these two very important points.
Azrael, it worked for Stalin & Hitler, no?
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
LOL! I can see it now. Email from Donald Rumsfeld and George W.
Bush to Saddam Hussein:
"Saddam,
If we bomb you and try to overthrow you from power, please don't
unleash any biological or chemical weapons of mass destruction on
our people. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Please let us
know if you have any questions about this request.
Warmest regards,
Donald Rumsfeld
George W. Bush
I wonder if they cc'ed Osama Bin Laden on this one?
Brad, they don't have to CC Bin Laden, because Bin Laden is most likely standing next to Saddam reading it over his shoulder.
Bill,
Bin Ladin a radical theocrat who wants to drive corrupt Arab
governments from power.
Saddam is a secularist who started a war with a fundamentalist
theocracy in the 1980s.
Bin Ladin tried to organize an Islamic resitance to fight Saddam's
army when it invaded Kuwait.
Bin Ladin got his start in politics by fighting against the
Soviets.
Saddam was a Soviet client, whose military consists mostly of
tanks, helicopters, and jets bought from the USSR.
But they both have darkish skin and speak that funny moon man
language, so I guess they're best buddies who sit in the sand and
eat goat together.
