Resignation rewording needed: "Shortcomings and mistakes"??!! Cardinal Law wants forgiveness for his "SHORTCOMINGS AND MISTAKES"!!!??
How about "sickening deceitful leadership, egregious conduct, and destructively sinful acts"!

Clergy are suppossed to be forgiving. Cardinal Law was just especially forgiving of other clergy. :)
