One year the old wooden wharf in our town burned down. The Fire Department said afterwards that it went so fast was because of all the news choppers fanning the flames.
Thanks for improving the friday funnies. Reason needs good editorial cartoons if they want more readers.

that has to be reinterpreted to be a violation of the drinking game

What, you want more Chip Boc comics that make jokes about
Centrist Politicians that are worse than the ones printed on
Bazooka wrappers?
Reason needs to have more readers, they need good Libertarian-view
cartoons. They need to be entertaining as well as informative.
They need good libertarian-view cartoons. Libertarian with a capital L refers to the Libertarian Party.
I understand this was a cartoon, but I hope we are not, in a
magazine called "Reason", perpetuating the ridiculous hysteria that
Global Warming was somehow responsible for the wildfires. The worst
wildfires in California history were in the twenties and resulted
in about a million acres being burned. We've always had wildfires
dating back to the first recorded settlers, not to mention it's
been confirmed that the most recent ones were caused by arson in
one case and a downed power line in another. This in addition to
the Santa Ana Winds, which have always been here, have absolutely
nothing to do with global warming.
This is right on the heels of the ludicrous assertion that the
sinking of the Carteret Atoll (A coral reef around an already
sinking volcano - continuously dynamited by the natives as a
fishing method) is evidence of climate change as well. They are now
being told they are martyrs of Western iniquity, and held up as the
first climate refugees. Though it was probably not smart to settle
on a reef encircling a volcano in the first place - I'm sure we'll
hear more calls from the media, such as that pristinely coiffed
model of journalistic virtue, Anderson Cooper, that those displaced
from their homes in California are victims of climate change -
though this time, with nothing to blame but their own folly and
glut. For God's sake, the kid was playing with matches on a ranch
in the middle of sage-brush!!!!
