Spanish industrial production bounced back in September, ending 29 months of successive declines as the economy emerged from a prolonged recession in the third quarter, data from the statistical office INE revealed Thursday.

On a calendar adjusted basis, production grew 1.4 percent year-on-year, following a 2.1 percent decline in the previous month. This was the first increase in output since February 2011.
